I was not aware that fate existed. I never imagined that I would meet the werewolf Alpha of the Darkmoon Pack. The Arrogant Alpha to whom I was cursed to. I'm Elena, and I've been bound to a wolf who would never love me for years due to a curse. However, I can't help but feel something stirring inside of me when I met Zane, the brooding alpha. He doesn't think the curse exists. It's not what he wants. However, the bond blossoms the moment we met, and I had to be entangled in a love I never imagined existed. However, I was unaware of the full extent of this curse, and now I'm fighting not just fate but also to survive. Is it possible for a werewolf and a human to be together, or will the curse ruin everything we both cherish?

Chapter 1:THE CURSE AWAKEN
Elena's Point of view As I ran, the forest was bathed in a chilly, silver glow from full moons in the sky. The sound of my footsteps was drowned by my racing heart. I could hardly feel the night air biting at my skin. I felt numb, the feeling from years of running and from never being able to break free from the curse that had followed me for a long time that I had no control on. As I stumbled over a root in the path and my foot caught on the ground, I let out a sharp breath. I swiftly and sharply straightened myself, following my instincts. I always got back up after falling, no matter how many times. The only lesson I had learned in this world was to never give up. Avoid being completely engulfed by the world. However, it felt different tonight. Tonight, there was something more urgent in the air. Something more substantial. I couldn't ignore the sensation that crawled up my spine as my chest tightened. The curse was stirring once more, tugging at me like a weight on my soul. I had hoped it would go extinct for years. that the relationship would never blossom and that the love that never materialized would always be gone. However, the weight in my chest has changed now. I had always thought the curse was a cruel joke. A perverse tale designed to torment me and keep me isolated and uncomfortable. However, I was no longer able to ignore it. It was true that there was a bond between a werewolf, a human, and their fated mate. And now I could feel it, like an unseen thread drawing me in the direction of something beyond my control. Someone or something. My thoughts were interrupted by the loud c***k of a branch breaking beneath my feet. My heartbeat accelerated. The scent of the air had changed; it was now heavier and almost familiar. My breath caught. No. Not only was the curse stirring, but it was drawing me towards him. I came to a halt. Too quickly and loudly, my heart pounded against my chest. I turned, my eyes darting across the forest, and my throat tightened. A strange energy swept through the trees, making my skin prickle. There was the Darkmoon Alpha. The last person I ought to be around. The last person I wanted to see. He was everything I didn't need. strong, powerful, and fierce. Everything I feared and everything I wasn't. However, the curse was indifferent to my desires. I took a deep breath and closed my eyes. His aroma. It struck me like a wall; it was wild, earthy, and somehow euphoric. Even though my mind begged me to stop, his presence loomed in the distance, drawing me forward and causing my feet to move. Zane. His name was like a whisper in my head. Even though I had never seen his face or met him, his name had somehow cast a shadow over my life. I had been fleeing from his very existence. As I turned, my feet felt suddenly heavy and my heartbeat pounded in my ears. I had to go. Before it was too late, I had to leave. This curse had its way with me prior to this bond. Something stopped me from walking more quickly. My breath caught in my throat as I froze. He was standing at the tree line. He was broad, tall, and had dark hair that hung loosely around his shoulders. His eyes were sharp and piercing blue in the moonlight, as if they could see right through me. At first, he remained motionless. simply stood and observed. With every second that went by, the tension in the air increased and it seemed as though time had stopped. "You," he said in a low, almost growling voice, but there was more to it…something that pulled at me. I was unable to take my eyes off him. It was the way he looked at me, not his strength or his commanding stance. As if he was acquainted with me. As if he had been anticipating my arrival. The words stuck in my throat as I swallowed. I opened my mouth, but nothing came out. My mind was racing with all the thoughts I was unable to express, and my legs were trembling. It was this. I had been avoiding this for a long time. "You're... aren't you the one?" Even though his voice was now quieter, there was still a hint of certainty. The words struck me in the chest like a blow. Mate by fate. The curse. the connection. I was fleeing from this, but now it was in front of me, drawing me in. My body cried out for me to run. But my legs wouldn't comply. This is not how I wanted to feel. Not the way his words made my heart race. Not the way my body was drawn to his, as if there was a connection between us in the air itself. However, it was there, thick and indisputable. I eventually found my voice, but it was shaky with doubt. "I... I'm not your mate." His face darkened, showing a moment of bewilderment before solidifying into an unintelligible expression. He moved forward one step. Then one more. Every motion is deliberate and slow. He never took his eyes off mine. With a rougher tone now, he said, "You can deny it all you want." "But we both know it's true." I gave a headshake. No. The curse didn't exist. It isn't possible. But I knew as I stood there, ensnared by his stare. It was genuine. The connection was genuine. The curse of the Alpha had come to life. I staggered back a step, but his voice stopped me before I could turn to flee. "Elena, you can't outrun it." My heart stopped. How was my name known to him? How could he be aware of my identity? My body instinctively moved away from him as I whirled around. My feet took me in a direction I couldn't even comprehend as the woods around me became hazy. My legs felt heavy, but my mind begged me to run faster, to get away. Impossibly clear, his voice lingered in the atmosphere. "You'll come to me me. One way or another. I was unable to forget the sound of his words as I ran.
