Sunset Love

Emily stepped off the plane, feeling the warm California sun on her skin. She took a deep breath, inhaling the salty air and the sweet scent of blooming flowers. It was good to be back in her hometown, even if it was just for a short visit. As she made her way to the baggage claim, Emily's mind wandered to the reason she was here: her friend Sarah's wedding. She and Sarah had been inseparable in high school, but after Emily left for college, they slowly drifted apart. This wedding was a chance for them to reconnect, and Emily was excited to celebrate with her old friend. After collecting her luggage, Emily headed outside to grab a taxi. As she waited in line, she noticed a familiar figure leaning against a nearby pillar. His eyes locked onto hers, and a slow smile spread across his face. "Emily Wilson," he said, pushing off the pillar and walking towards her. "It's been a long time." Emily's heart skipped a beat as she took in the sight of Jack Harris, her high school crush and former friend.
