When we were young

Summer of year 2001, in a province of South Korea, enjoying the heat of the sun and chilly wind, Park Noa, first year in senior highschool, is riding his bike going to his school.. Five minutes has passed until a girl in a junior high school uniform also riding her bike cross path with him, he did not expect it but the time goes so slow at that moment while he is watching the girl going nearer and nearer to him. She is pretty, with long black hair, narrow eyes, fuzzy nose and thin lips. When the girl has passed him Park Noa stops his bike and follow the girl by sight, he wants to follow the girl to know which school she is going but he will be late for his class and decided to go to his school instead. That morning Park Noa cant concentrate on his class and keep thinking of that girl. "Hey Bro, you are not yourself today, what's going on with you?" asked Mun Reyi. "Yeah, what's with you today? followed by Han Mijo. Mun Reyi and Han Mijo are Park Noa's bestfriends in school, they knew each other since junior highschool. Mun Reyi likes Han Mijo secretly but Han Mijo likes Park Noah secretly too. Park Noa is not noticing it, he treats Han Mijo as her sister. "Ah its nothing, i just saw a girl earlier, shes quite pretty" Park Noa replied. Han Mijo's smile fades away. "Really? where did you saw her?" Mun Reyi asked with a smile. " I wont believe she is pretty if I didn't saw her." said Han Mijo in a irate tone. "Then come with me tomorrow morning, lets follow her for you to know." Park Noa said to his two friends. "I'm in" said Mun Reyi. "I'm out, i dont want to waste my time for that" Han Mijo said. And then the two boys smiled to each other. Next morning, Park Noa and Mun Reyi got early to the place where Noa saw the junior highschool girl, they've waited for 15 minutes before the girl appears riding her bike, Noa keep his self together and follow her with distance, Reyi also follows them. They take a left after five minutes and goes straight on a main road and after 15 minutes the girl enter a school called Crimson Junior High School. "So thats the girl you've been saying, I think Han Mijo is prettier than her." Reyi said. "Well, if thats your point of view, I wont disagree, after all we got different taste." said Noa with a smile. "Hey come on we got to hurry, we will be late to our first class" Reyi said. And they both fled with their bikes. When they've reach their school, Chrome Senior High School, they are already late and as traditional punishment they have to stand outside their homeroom while their hands are in the air. They are suprised to see that Han Mijo was also there, she was never late on school, this is the first time they see her late. "What are you two looking at, do you have death wish?" said Mijo in an irate tone. "What happened?, you were never late" Noa ask her. "Its none of your business." Mijo replied in irate tone again. Noa and Reyi smiled to each other and keep silent. "So what is your plan? how will you talk to her?" Reyi asked Noa. "This afternoon I'll go to her school and take her home by sight". Noa replied. "Wow, are you a stalker now?" Mijo said irate again. Noa and Reyi smile to each other again. "And why are you both smiling?" Mijo asked and punch both the boys on their stomach. Afternoon came, Noa fled with his bike alone and went to Crimson Junior High School. He was just in time, students are starting to leave the school. And then moments have pass there she is, the Bike Girl riding her bike and heading out of the school. Noa is about to follow her but something happened. A group of 4 girls and 4 boys hindered Bike Girl to pass and one of the girls kick her that make her fall on her bike and stumble to the ground. Noa make his move and go to her, as soon Bike Girl got to her feet two girls hold her both arms and one girl pull her hair that make her chin move upward and the girl who kicked her is about to punch her on her face, Noa's timing is accurate he move his body in and blocks her fist by his back, startled by Noa, the girls holding Bike Girl free her and step back. "How dare you get involve?" said the girl's leader. "From now on Im her friend." Noa replied and smile at Bike Girl before turning around to the leader girl. "And no body could mess with my friends" Noa added. The biggest boy laugh, and said "Boys, teach him a lesson." Noa move forward to isolate Bike Girl. The three boys encirled Noa and Noa, being a member of their school Taekwondo Team kicked their butts simultainuously. The leader boy move near to Noa and said "So you got fighting skills huh, better get ready to a true fight." And then the leader boy move forward to Noa and make a big swing. Noa launch a side kick to his open chest but he never move an inch instead lands a right hook on Noa's left chick and he stumbled on the ground. Quickly the three boys holds Noa and the three girls holds Bike Girl again. When both of them is about to punch Noa and Bike Girl, each of them got hit by a roundhouse kick on their napes and both of them fall to the ground. When Noa open his eyes, there stood Mun Reyi and Han Mijo, his bestfriends and his team mates on their school's Taekwondo Team. "Run or die boys" Mun Reyi said."Got a death wish girls" added by Han Mijo. Scared to death, they all run and carry their leaders who are half consious. Han Mijo quickly go and check Noa's condition. "Are you alright?" Mijo asked Noa. "What happened to our champion's skills?" Reyi asked Noa too. "I was just startled." Noa replied and got to his feet to check Bike Girl. "Are you alright?" Noa asked Bike Girl."Yes I am, thank you for what you did." Bike Girl replied and she ride her bike but hesitant to go on, which Noa also notice. "Can I take you home?, just incase they are waiting for you on your way home, you have company" Noa said to Bike Girl. "By the way Im Park Noa" he added. Bike Girl smile and said "Thanks, Im still scared of them." Bike Girl turn to Reyi and Mijo and said "Thanks for your help." and then Noa and Bike Girl fled with their bikes. Noa turn around to his friends and shouted. "Thanks for saving us, I owe you one guys". Mijo said to Reyi, "Lets follow them but lets not get near them, just incase those bullies come back.". After 20 minutes of biking, Noa and Bike Girl turn to an alley called Nineth Alley and on the end of that alley is Bike Girl's home, a bongalow type house. Before Bike Girl enter the house, she turn around to Noa and said. "Thanks for your help, be careful on your way home." and she enter the house. Noa regretly leave because he didn't get her name. When he was about 10 meters away from her house, a girl shouted. "Yun Seri!". Noa turn around and saw Bike Girl, she shouted again."My name is Yun Seri!". and she smiled and waved goodbye and enter her house again.
