ASHES OF THE ORDINARY

Most tales begin with once upon a time or long ago. Bleeh—this is not one of them. After all, who cares about what happened a long time ago when the world is literally burning every day? For your information, these are the random thoughts of a young woman in her early twenties. Let’s call her Ammie. That’s right. I have this weird habit of referring to myself as a third‑party character. Life has gotten pretty crazy in the past few years im relieving as an adult, and people say I have a mental disorder mostly because I believe in things beyond us, forces that are yet to be seen. Maybe they’re right. Maybe they’re wrong. But all I can say is this, the world is about to get a whole lot crazier than it already is. Something unexpected is coming and it’s coming fast. You can choose to ignore the words of Ammie, just as the rest of the world does. What can I say? It’s the new norm. Or maybe it’s just a rehearsal for what’s about to come.
