Eva took a deep inhale of breath. These mafia men had so little respect for women in the family. She had secured more than most because she was Marco’s wife, but still, they all had inflated egos which needed cutting down to size. It would not be the first time she felt she needed to prick a don’s bubble, nor would it be the last. In years gone by, Marco would intervene at such disrespect. Many times, with a gun pointed at the Don’s head. However, it had been many years now that Eva had insisted, she would fight her own battles with them, and only if she gave Marco a nod would he intervene.
