Munroe Island

Chapter 11

Zen. Literally a paradise on earth. It was one of the most beautiful places. Tourists loved coming here, thanks to the lovable people, picturesque countryside, and the island...it was one of the main attractions of Zen.

" The people of Zen were very cordial with those of the island. The island was even more beautiful than Zen and was a small one, with only five families residing there. Nonetheless, there would always be a flock of tourists on the island.

" The five families of the island were: The Eliades, The Galanis, The Castellanos, The Onasis, and The Pantasiz. The Castellanos were the Royals of the island and they resided in the Hecate Castle. The Castle was f*******n to be visited by outsiders.

" Every year in February, they would come to the mainland to celebrate The Carnival.The Carnival was a festival of love, harmony and happiness that was held for three weeks every year. The islanders were welcome to stay anywhere in the mainland, such was the love between the people.

"Thirty-five years ago tragedy struck. One member of the Onasis family was accused of black magic and witchcraft. Somebody from the mainland also testified against him. All others tried to defend them but failed. Residents of Zen, being religious people, captured all of them, took them to the island, and burnt them alive."

At this point, Winston's voice shook. He sighed and then continued.

" From then on, Zen lost its happiness and peace. Strange happenings began to take place. People were found murdered in suspicious situations. Some people who went to the island went missing. They were never found. Visiting the island has ever since been banned. People fear to even speak about it."
