Chapter 3: Internship

Tem’s P.O.V.

The journey to school went smoothly, I’m at the school entrance dragging my box to my hostel. Ohhhh.. I missed this, student going and up and down in the school premises with different fashion styles and well coordinated colors. I’m wearing a white long sleeve shirt with Black Crop Leather Jacket, a Red Short Checkered Skirt with my Chic Black Knee High Boots, pair of cat eye glasses. Hmmmm, I look so good, just a whiff of my Chanel perfume makes me more confident in myself, smelling good is a lifestyle. Here we are at my school dormitory.

(In Tem’s Dormitory now, Beatrice and Stacy were already inside, each of them unboxing their bags).

“Ohhhhhh, look who decided to show up late!” Beatrice said rolling her eyes at Tem’s.

“My dear Beebee, I missed you too but you know babygirl needs to make an entrance to the school to surprise her besties”. Tem’s replied her friend while hugging both Beatrice and Stacy.

Stacy is the calm one among them, Tem’s talk too much when you give her listening ear, and Beatrice is the no bullshit friend, Stacy is the one who called them to order whenever things go out of control, and guess what, they always listened to her.

Stacy was grinning ear to ear looking at Tem’s outfit and blurted out, “you look so damn good and smells nice girl”.

Beatrice rolled her eyes and said, “you never said that when you saw me”.

Stacy replied, “do I need to say anything when all the guys at the entrance of the school were ogling at you? I saw the way you were winking and tucking your hair behind your ear babes”.

“Well, it would still be nice to hear you say it,”replied Beatrice pouting and battling her long eyelashes at Stacy. Stacy gave her a peck and all the three friends hugged each other all over again.

(Everyone is done unpacking their boxes and all were seated in their bed engaging in a discussion about their IT programs)

“I have informed my parents about my decision to do my IT in a Telecommunications company, they were happy and supported me.” Stacy said.

“Wow, that must have been a relieved since you’ve been contemplating if they would allow you to go through your decision before.” Replied Temtem.

“Well, I promised to behave myself when I get there, and they’ve also spoken to a distance cousin about my accommodation and he said I’m welcome whenever I’m ready.” Said Stacy.

“That must be a relief then. What is the name of your cousin and is he hot? Beatrice asked butting into the conversation after she heard the pronoun Stacy used for her cousin.

Stacy replied her boastfully, “I don’t know if he’s hot or not, but I don’t think he would be ugly either, I mean, we are all pretty good looking in my family. Have you seen any of my siblings ugly, my parents are also all shades of beautiful.

“Ohhhh, here we go with the appraisals, I don’t know people keep thinking you could not say a word, when we are the one who know how you can be indoor, smart mouth.” Retorted Beatrice.

While they were talking, Tem’s keep staring them and smiled to herself.

Beatrice asked her why she was smiling and not supporting her claim of Stacy being a smart mouth.

“I know it’s just three months IT training but I’m going to miss you both so much, the gentle Stacy and not so gentle Beatrice.” Tears welled up in her eyes and she quickly shrugged it off.

“We will miss you too as well, you are not the only one doing the “missing” thing, little miss emotional.” Said Stacy.

“Now, out with it both of you. I have told you and Beatrice about where I’m going to for my IT program, let me in on your decisions cupcakes.” Stacy said.

“I have contemplated about it and I would just go to my dad’s company, that would be better and it’s less expenses as well. It will give me time to eat my mother’s home cooked meal and get familiar with his Tech company.” Replied Beebee.

“Ohhhh, that’s so good.” Tem’s replied and Stacy agreed nodding her head with approval.

“Well, well, well, my turn to let you girls in on my decision as well. I will be going to a Telecommunication Company as well, my aunty spoke with the manager and he said, I’m welcome to join them anytime. The only thing that would delay me is my approval letter from the department. I heard they have approved so many and they have returned it to the students together with the materials we would need over there.” Tem’s said with a long sigh.

Stacy moved closer to her and patted her back jokingly and said, “I and Beatrix collected ours before we unpacked our box today, I received a message at home stating that the approval letter is ready.”

“I’m sure they would send your approval letter very soon, I just hope they don’t delay it too much so you could get to enjoy the three months completely.” Replied Beatrice.

(Beatrice turned an invisible switch and changed the topic to lift Tem’s spirit and take her mind off the approval letter.)

“What are you doing?” Asked Stacy with wide eyes and hand gestures.

“Can we change the topic? It’s getting boring and I don’t like being bored lovelies. Now, Temtem, enlighten me how the relationship between you and Luke is moving, as far as my concerned, your phone had not ring at all since we’ve been discussing. You and I both know, your 100/200 level Luke would have bombarded you with calls. So, what is happening?” Retorted Beatrice with a smiley face.

“Can you take it slow, how many questions do you want me to answer at once? All I will say is Luke and I are good, and the calling part, he’s busier than usual these days and I understand. Now let’s stop talking and stroll out cuz the hottest girls in this school needs to see what is happening outside her comfort zone.” Tem’s answered rolling her eyes.

They all walked out and the whole attention was on them without even seeking for one. They are gorgeous and a great fashionista, very brilliant, always stick together and have each other’s back no matter whom you encounter among them.
