Chapter 11

Yoko was shocked by what Rome said because he sounded like it was his last will. Yoko looked at Rome in the eyes and said,

"What are you talking about?"

Rome replied with a serious look on his face,

"After this job, I'll die. And I want you to disband the whole team. Divide everything I have into those idiots and Tricia's parents. But the house is yours. You can use it or not. It's yours."

Yoko stood up and was about to leave while saying,

"I'm not talking to you about this."

Rome held Yoko's hand when she was about to leave. He said,

"Stay."

Yoko looked at Rome as he held her hand, but he was not looking at her. He just held her hand to stop her from leaving his side. Yoko looked him and she saw immediately that something was wrong. She got worried and she sat down. She asked him,

"Rome? Everything okay?"

Rome quietly cried and said,

"I'm scared."

Yoko was shocked by what she heard because this was the first time that Rome ever said that he was scared. Yoko didn't know what he was scared of but him saying that he was scared was enough to worry about him. She just hugged him and said,

"It's fine. I'm here."

Rome continued to cry silently while being hugged by Yoko and said,

"I'm scared of losing any of you. Tony, Wardo and Emily. It's all my fault."

When she saw him cry and blames himself, Yoko couldn't do anything but feel bad for him and tears started to fall down her eyes. She said,

"None of it was your fault. You can't blame yourself for what happened."

Yoko was worried of Rome as he was crying while hugging her. She was trying her best to comfort him but it was obvious that something was bothering Rome because it was unuasual for him to act this way. Yoko was thinking that maybe Rome was serious about what he said. Maybe Rome was really planning on dying after or during their job of getting Zy back to her father. Rome who was hugging Yoko reached for the bottle of whiskey that was on the table. Yoko stopped him by holding his hand and said,

"You've been drinking alot lately. You should get some sleep."

Rome looked at Yoko who was holding his hand and then kissed her on the lips. Yoko was shocked for a moment but she immediately kissed him back. For a few seconds, they were kissing and Yoko slowly pushed him away and said,

"Stop. We can't keep on doing this. I know that you are hurting but this is not the right way."

Rome replied,

"You don't want to?"

Yoko replied,

"You know full well what I want. But this is not the way I want it."

Rome simply smiled at and said,

"I understand."

Rome slowly lied down to the bed and Yoko stood up. She was about to walk away but she looked back and saw Rome lying on the bed with his eyes closed. Yoko was still bothered and worried about him. Worried about what he said. She slightly shook her head and reached for the bottle of whiskey that was on the table and chugged it straight from the bottle and said,

"What the hell."

Rome smiled at her and quickly stood up and kissed Yoko in the lips and she also kissed him back. Yoko was removing Rome's shirt while Rome aggresively grabbed one of her breast. She succesfully removed his shirt and Rome did the same to her. They were both lying down in the bed without both of their clothes with Rome on top of Yoko, he was tenderly caressing her naked body while she was moaning quietly. They continued passionately for almost an hour and then immediately fell asleep. Morning came and Zy who was worried about Rome because of the way he was acting when they arrived from the desert came to the tool shed with a coffee mug in his hand and with the intention of giving it to Rome as sign of comfort, she started knocking on the door and on the first knock the door opened. She saw Yoko who was putting on her shirt and Rome who was still sleeping on the bed and was obviously naked even though a blanket was covering the lower part of his body. When Yoko saw Zy at the door, she gestured for her to be quiet with her index finger on her lips and she immediately approached and closed the door on her way out. She grabbed the coffee that was on Zy's hand and said,

"We still have a few hours before we leave. Let him sleep."

Zy was still still shocked by what she saw but she immediately dismissed it and asked Yoko,

"Is he okay?"

Yoko looked at her and replied,

"No. I need to talk to you and the rest of the team. Let's go."

Both of them walked towards the house and entered using the backdoor. When they entered; Lia, Wade, and Nick was sitting the the table along with the rest of the team who was standing near the table. Wade sarcastically said,

"Good morning! How was your night?"

Em who was standing near the table said,

"You know what you're doing is not fair game, right?"

Lia interrupted and said,

"We both know that if we're the ones who came to him last night, he won't talk."

Em replied,

"I know, but still."

Wade was smiling at Yoko and she said with a serious look on her face,

"We need to talk."

Wade sarcastically replied with a smile on his face,

"Sure. Wanna tell us what you did last night?"

Yoko straight up said,

"He said he will die after we bring Zy back to her father."

Everyone who was laughing and arguing about what happened between Yoko and Rome the night before was shocked by what they heard including Zy. Nick immediately asked Yoko,

"What the f**k do you mean by that?"

Yoko looked at him and replied,

"He said that after this job, he wants the team to be disbanded and divide everything he owns to the whole team and Tricia's parents. He wants me to have this house."

Everyone was quiet after what they heard from Yoko. Nick who was sitting at the table immediately stood up and said,

"That selfish motherfucker!!"

Yoko stopped him by holding him down and said,

"We need to let him rest after what happened yesterday. Let him sleep for now and we'll talk to him as soon as he wakes up. He needs to rest."

Nick looked at Yoko and it was obvious on her face that she is worried. He sits back down and asks Yoko,

"What exactly did he tell you?"

Wade offered his seat to Yoko and she sits down and says,

"He's said he's scared of losing any of us. And now I'm scared too because I think he's gonna do something reckless that will prevent something from happening to any of us even if something bad happens to him. We need to do something."

Nick replied,

"We need to talk to him."

Yoko aggresively replied,

"No! We talk to him about this and he's just gonna avoid having a conversation about it."

Nick replied,

"So you're just gonna wait for him to do something stupid and have himself killed?"

Yoko shouted,

"We protect him! We cover his back like what he has been doing for us for a long time!"

Nick replied,

"So that's your plan? Protect him? That's still coddling him. Yoko, our job is to protect Zy and make sure she gets to her father unharmed in case you forgot about that and what she did for Rome. We agreed that you will stop coddling him so we need to talk to him about this."

Yoko was about to reply and argue more with Nick but Wade interrupted her by saying,

"Okay that's enough! We can't keep on fighting about this. Yoko, you know what Nick is saying is right. We need to talk to him about this. If we keep on coddling him, we don't know how he will react the next time something happens. And Nick, I know that you're right but stop being an asshole about everything. You are making an enemy out of everyone here. Now once he wakes up, we will talk to him about this even if he doesn't want to."

Yoko looked at Zy like she was looking for support from her. Zy told her,

"I'm sorry, but I think they're right. If he said what he told you, then we need to talk to him."

Em interrupted Zy by saying,

"You are not a part of 'we'. We will talk to him."

Wade replied,

"Stop it. What's wrong with you?"

Em replied,

"I'm just saying. She's not a part of this."

Yoko just held her head obviously stressed out about the situation and clearly worried about Rome. Wade and Nick started talking outside with a low voice. Wade asks,

“What should we do?”

Nick replied,

“I will talk to him. You should lead the team for now.”

Wade just nods in agreement and Nick started walking towards the shed where is. Wade walks back inside and informs everyone that Nick will talk to Rome.

“Nick will talk to him.”

Yoko aggressively replied,

“What??? You let him go there. You know what will happen. They will just fight. We need to go there.”

Wade stops her and says,

“Yoko stop. We need to confront him about this. That’s the only way we can get through his head. I know you know that. And Nick is the best guy we have for that.”

Yoko stopped and clearly understood what Wade was trying to say. Wade added,

“For now, let’s wait. If anything goes out of hand, I’ll stop before it happens.”

Everyone was silent and waiting in the same table. Em started walking away while saying,

“He’s alive. I’ll start looking for him and I will tell you where he is.”

Em stopped and lastly says,

“Never forget what he did to Lucy. I will never forgive all of you if you do.”

Everyone who was in the room just looked at Em as she walks out of the front door. Yoko chased her and said,

“Em, we need you here when we talk to him.”

Em looks back and says,

“To be honest? I want him to continue feeling this rage. So that we can properly avenge him.”

Yoko was shocked by what she heard. She replied,

“What??? Are you serious??”

Em replied with rage in her eyes,

“Lucy was violated and shot in the head. And you know what’s worse??? She was alone and scared. None of us were there for her. Lucy was my best friend and I wasn’t there for her. I will make sure that Banks will pay for what he did to her. Rome knows where I stand and what I will do. If none of you wants to help Rome avenging Lucy, I am fine even if im the only one helping him. I will contact you when I new info about Banks.”

Em continued walking away and soon reaches the car waiting for her and started driving away. Yoko who was shocked by what Em said started walking towards the house. She first saw Lia in the house and she asks,

“What should we do now?”

Lia replied,

“She’s right. We need to avenge Lia and take out Banks but we also need to make sure that Rome won’t do anything stupid. But our priority that we’re forgetting is Zy. We need to get her to Montana as soon as possible.”
