THE PUNISHMENT
~MATTEO’S POV~
She was fast, smarter than I gave her credit for, she didn't run for the gates. It might have been too obvious. She vanished inside and used my mansion against me.
That meant she was watching, listening, well that's good, let her hear what I sounded like when I was done playing.
I moved down the west corridor. Scanning each room, each shadow. The staff cleared out fast. They always did when I used that tone.
Nico’s voice crackled in my earpiece. “Still nothing. We’ve cleared the east wing.”
“She’s not that far,” I replied. She’s scared, not suicidal. She stayed inside. She’s hiding.”
