The year 2026
Edward stared at the world that was new to his sight. He looked around for his companions before he woke up.
"Matt, are you inside me?" Edward called to Matt in his mind before taking a breath he just stood up even though he felt a little dizzy.
"Where are we? Come out for a moment." Matt spoke and Edward breathed a sigh of relief when he heard the voice he was looking for.
Edward came out of the room surprised when Frieda, who was cleaning, came up to them.
"Edward, you sleep well?" smiling Frieda said to Edward.
"Yes, where are mama and papa?" Edward asked looking for Matt's parents they knew they had changed personalities.
"Your mom is gone, last year you still couldn't move on? She died because she saved you from the enemy." Frieda replied and turned away suddenly.
"She was dead, changed what happened from the future," Matt replied sadly as he fell silent.
"Your father is in the hospital, are you aren't going to school?" Frieda replied.
"I'm studying?" Edward suddenly said the reason for Frieda to turn to him.
"No, not anymore, Edward because you don't study here and you have Irene, Señior with you to watch over a newborn vampire," Frieda replied handing her a cup filled with blood.
"Newborn vampire studying right away?" Edward asked and took the cup and drank it.
"Yes, but you are studying in Baguio, you have a mission with Señior and Irene, I'm just with you so that when you're hungry and drank of blood at the apartment, Eduardo is in the hospital with him and just like you, it's hard to move on with his wife." Frieda's said to Edward who was just staring.
"Why is papa with us?" Edward asked.
"We took him here because he had another job as a doctor," Frieda said.
"Why is he with papa?" Edward asked.
"Tumulong lang siya sa pagdala ng mga gamot babalik din siya si Irene namasyal sa mga sikat na pasyalan," sabi ni Frieda.
Napatingin si Edward sa buong paligid hindi pa rin siya makapaniwala sa nakikita.
"Where are we now and what year is it?" Edward asked.
"2026, ano ka ba? Anong nangyari sa'yo, natulog ka lang ganyan ka na, bakit?" gulat sagot ni Frieda sinalat niya ang noo ni Edward nabigla kaya umatras.
"No, I don't understand Dracula is with us on the mission?" Edward asked curiously as he looked at Frieda.
"Oo, ayon at na sa labas siya." sagot ni Frieda.
"Thank you," Edward replied and nodded.
Edward went out and looked for Dracula he looks at the opposite house before walking to look for Dracula.
"Do you already understand tagalog?" Matt asked surprised because Edward could answer everything Frieda said earlier.
Napahinto sa paglalakad para kausapin sa isipan si Matt.
"Ah? I didn't notice, what I know I understand I didn't notice that he speaks tagalog." Edward replied that Matt was even more surprised when he spoke a tagalog word.
"Ayan oh..nagsalita ka ng tagalog." sabi ni Matt nagugulat talaga sa nangyayari.
"No way? Let's find Dracula, where is that man?" Edward just said.
Matt didn't respond to what Edward said. He couldn't figure out how and was this how Edward was when he wasn't alive. Hinanap nila si Dracula ginamit ang bilis bilang bampira.
Sa kabilang dako, nakatanaw mula sa malayo si Dracula.
"Lola, ito ang lugar kung saan namin makikita ang asawang babae ni Matt?" nasabi ni Dracula mula sa hangin kahit imposible siyang marinig.
"Geogieseo nugunga yaegihago issseubnikka? dangsin-eun michyeossseubnikka, geuleohge boiji anhseubnida." a voice said Dracula a turned to the someone behind him.
(Are you talking to someone there? Are you crazy, it doesn't seem like it.)
"Ah?" Dracula said to the someone who spoke behind him.
"Aren't you Korean?" someone asked and immediately shook his head.
"No," Dracula said just shaking his head.
"What are you? Foreigners, in which country?" someone said.
Dracula didn't answer, he just stared at the person.
"Ara! iliwa, geuneun nuguya?" a voice called they even looked at someone.
(Ara! Come here, who is he?)
They turned to the person approaching them.
"Naneun geuga honja malhaneun geos-eul boass gi ttaemun-e nugungawa jeongmallo iyagihagi wihae geuege daga gassda." the someone next to Dracula replied he was just quiet.
(I saw him speaking alone so I approached him to talk to someone.)
"What are you doing, come on!" someone said behind her.
"Bye!" sigaw ng kumausap kay Dracula nakatingin lang sa dalawang taong nag-uusap.
Dracula's gaze followed the woman he was talking to for a moment.
"Hindi ko na siya nakilala," nasabi ni Dracula sa isip niya.
"Lola, naririnig mo ba ako?" Dracula called to his grandmother in the air and he looked up.
"Apo.." tawag ng taong hinahanap ni Dracula.
"How can we find Edward's wife, 'la?" Dracula asked softly from the air.
"You have to find her before she dies that year." just answer a voice from the air.
Nang tatawagin ni Dracula naramdaman niyang nawala na ang presensiya nito.
"Hey," Dracula greeted Edward.
He didn't just tell Edward what his grandmother had told him.
"Uy!" bungad ni Edward mula sa likod ni Dracula sinundan niya ng tingin ang tinitignan nito.
"You are awake," Dracula said just smiling.
"What are you doing and who are they?" Edward asked after he looked at what Dracula was staring at.
"I don’t know them, and relax my body, I also think about our mission," Dracula replied looking up at the sky.
"Mama is gone at this time, something has changed since we fought for the future," Edward said and folded his arms.
Dracula turned his attention to what he heard from Edward.
"What? Has anything changed?" startled Dracula said turned his attention to Edward next to him.
"Yes, this is just the first but there will be another one I don't know when," Edward replied with a deep breath.
You’re right, it’s not the only change that’s going to happen." Dracula said he knew something was going to happen but, he didn't know when he saw it in the dream earlier.
"Before anything changed we were back in the future and I met my wife." Edward just said he promised his wife's parents and himself that he would look for it.
"What do you do when you meet your wife?" Dracula asked Edward and he just smiled.
"Talking to her and introducing himself as his friend when we were kids," Edward replied suddenly and it was true that he was not in a hurry to introduce himself to the person he was looking for.
Wouldn’t it be surprising of course, he doesn’t remember you I’m not against." sabi ni Dracula.
"Alam ko naman 'yon, hindi niya ako makikilala dahil magkaibang tao na kami." sagot ni Edward na ikina-bigla nina Dracula at Matt.
"You spoke tagalog, it was clear and that you were like them." Matt's statement and he didn't expect what he knows when they exchanged and they went somewhere place.
"Did I really do it? Dracula, am I really speak tagalog?" still can't believe Edward said and even pointed to himself.
"Yes, you are...and no one else." Dracula replied and he stared into Edward's eyes, he felt something strange in its presence.
"Natutuwa ako na nagsasalita ka ng tagalog," sagot ni Matt kay Edward.
"Paano kung magtanog ang asawa mo kung sino ka?" tanong ni Dracula.
"What do you mean? Who am I in her life?" Edward said to Dracula when he looked at it.
"She hasn’t seen you in a long time, and he’ll wonder who and why you’re getting close to her, like that." Dracula exclaimed, Matt also thought that our wife would really ask Edward just in case.
"He's right, just make friends again and we'll help you more." Matt answered to Edward.
"Be mysterious to her for a few months before you finally get close," Dracula replied to Edward the two looked at him and did not speak.
"All right, shall we wait for Irene?" Edward asked.
"Just in case, the two of us meet, what will I introduce to her? I'm Matt or I'm Edward because in the future it won't be me anymore." Edward just said I thought of it right away.
"It is you, you introduce myself as me and you." Matt replied.
"If you are confused, think first." Dracula replied and raised his hand seeing the moonlight.
They heard footsteps approaching. They laughed as they recognized the smell of the person approaching them.
"Salamat at nakilala ko kayo, marami akong hindi alam sa buhay ng mga tao." sagot ni Edward.
"Kung marami kang tanong nandito lang kami at sasagot sa'yo," sagot ni Dracula.
"Speaakkiiingg..." nasabi ni Matt nang marinig ang boses ni Irene.
"Ang seryoso ng mukha nyong dalawa, what is it?" pagsasalita ni Irene mula sa kanilang dalawa kaya humarap sila dito.
"Saan ka ba nanggaling, hindi tayo gagala dito may misyon tayo." puna ni Dracula kay Irene na may bitbit na shopping bag.
"Wala eh, kuminang ang mata ko nang makita ko ang mga ito." sagot ni Irene.
"Mga babae nga naman, hindi nakakatiis." sabi ni Dracula umiiling na lang siya.
Naalala ni Dracula ang babaeng gumulo sa pananahimik niya.
"Tulala ka na, 'yong dalawang tao ba 'yon kanina ang iniisip mo?" bulong ni Edward dahilan para lumingon siya.
"Hindi, si lola.." sagot ni Dracula.
"Ah," Edward replied.
Edward is not sure about his suspicion but, he will observe his partner, it is normal for a man to fall in love with a woman.
"What are you talking about our mission?" Irene replied looking at the two male companions.
"Hindi naman lahat tungkol sa misyon ang pinag-usapan namin," sagot ni Dracula kay Irene ng lingunin.
"Ang sungit mo, nagtatanong lang naman ako." sagot ni Irene inirapan niya si Dracula.
Iniwan na sila ni Irene sa may kanto kung saan nararamdaman nila ang presensiya ng mga bampira na normal lang gumalaw at kumilos katulad ng mga taong namumuhay sa bansang 'to.
"Tignan mo itong babae na 'to," naiiling sagot ni Dracula tinuro pa ang papalayong kasamahan nila ni Edward.
"Haha! Baka mood swings..." sabat ni Edward sumunod na silang dalawa.
Napalingon si Dracula sa katabi niya tumaas ang kilay nito.
"Red days niya? Haha huwag mo na nga ako pansinin," sagot ni Edward bago naglakad pasunod kay Irene.
Nakatingin lang si Dracula sa kasamahan nauunang maglakad sa kanya.
"Apo, ikaw na ang bahala kay Edward huwag mong hayaan mapunta sa madilim na landas," bulong ng isang boses dahilan para matingala siya sa langit.
"Opo, 'la." sagot ni Dracula at napalingon nang tawagin siya ni Edward.
Kumaway na lang si Dracula at tumakbo palapit kay Edward.
"Bakit ka huminto?" tanong ni Edward inakbayan siya nito sa balikat.
"Nothing," Dracula answered.
Napatingin pa si Edward bago umiling na lang pagkatapos.
"Hindi tayo talo, Edward." nasabi ni Dracula at ngumiti.
"Nag-sisigurado lang ako," sagot ni Edward.
"Baliw," sabi ni Dracula kay Edward.
