The ride down to the gym is awkward and quiet. When the doors open Sammy rushes out first with Dean quick behind him. Stacey follows with a frown on her face. Max places his hand on the small of Amanda’s back and guides her towards the others. Amanda looks up at him and smiles at his light touch. He’s taking in his surrounding and assessing everything, like a true warrior, but his touch on her back is light and warm, he really is sweet.
“That is Sammy and Dean. Sammy just broke up with Amanda like a douche,” Stacey calls behind her. Max and Lucas both nod without a word.
