Wednesday
“Hey, Trish,” Nathan called out after he’d rapped on the lab door and then pushed it open.
“Hey, yourself. Been a while. How are Bella and Charlie?”
“Bella’s great, pretty much back to normal after a lot of hard work and physical therapy. And Charlie. Man, that kid is growing so much every day. Did you know that his fourth birthday is coming up already?”
Trish smiled.
“Time moves so fast. You turn around twice and he’ll be in high school.”
She paused, and her face took on a pensive gaze.
“What’s wrong, Trish?”
“You need to see why I called you down here,” she replied, and reached over to pick up two evidence bags to show to him.
Nathan grabbed a set of surgical gloves from the open box Trish pointed to. Once he had them on, she passed him the first bag.
