épisode 1
5:00 AM It wasn’t the morning light that woke him. It was the dream. The same dream. The same nightmare that had followed him for years. His father walking away into darkness. No matter how many times Caesar ran after him, he could never reach him. The ground beneath his bare feet turned soft like wet sand, swallowing him deeper with every desperate step. “Father… wait!” But the figure never turned around. The darkness swallowed him. And then— Caesar woke up. His eyes snapped open as he sat upright in bed, breathing hard. His hand instinctively moved to his chest, checking his pulse. Fast. Too fast. For a moment, the room was silent except for the steady rhythm of his breathing. Thirty years old… and the same dream still haunted him. The large bedroom around him slowly came back into focus. Floor-to-ceiling windows allowed the pale blue light of early morning to slip inside, touching the expensive furniture and the vast king-size bed. Yet despite the luxury surrounding him, the room felt cold. Empty. Caesar ran a hand through his dark hair and swung his legs over the side of the bed. His tall frame moved with controlled strength, the kind built from years of discipline. His body was muscular, powerful, sculpted through relentless training. But the scars he carried were not all physical. Some came from battles in the training field. Others… came from life itself. He had been forced to grow up too early. At sixteen, the world had stopped being kind. His dark eyes held a cold intensity that made most people look away when he looked at them. There was something in those eyes — something dangerous, something heavy with memories no one truly knew. He stood up and walked toward the bathroom. A few minutes later, hot water poured over him under the shower. Steam filled the room as he closed his eyes, letting the heat relax the tension in his muscles. But even the hottest water couldn’t wash away certain memories. Some things were like scars. They never truly disappeared. Ten Minutes Later Caesar stood in front of the large mirror, a towel wrapped around his waist. Water droplets slid slowly down his broad shoulders and chest as he stared at his reflection. For a long moment, he said nothing. Then he spoke quietly to himself. “Today… they’ll see who I really am.” His voice was calm, but there was steel beneath it. He turned and walked into his enormous walk-in closet. Rows of perfectly organized suits filled the room. Most people would take several minutes to choose what to wear. Not Caesar. He picked black pants. A crisp white shirt. Simple. Sharp. Powerful. But when he opened the drawer where his belts were kept, his hand paused. Several expensive belts lay neatly arranged. Yet his fingers moved directly to one. A black leather belt with a silver buckle shaped like a wolf’s head. His gaze lingered on it for a moment before he fastened it around his waist. He always chose that one. Little did he know… Another wolf was about to walk into his life today. Across Town At that same moment, across the city, someone else was still deep in sleep. Maryam lay sprawled across her bed in a position that would probably make any normal person uncomfortable. One arm was tucked under her pillow. The other stretched outward as if she were trying to reach something inside her dream. One leg dangled lazily off the side of the mattress. A soft morning light filtered through the curtains, touching her messy blonde hair. At the doorway, her mother stood watching her. For a brief moment, she smiled. “She still looks like a little girl when she sleeps…” But that nostalgic thought vanished quickly. Today was important. Very important. Maryam had a job interview. And knowing her daughter… There was a very real chance she would sleep through it. Her mother stepped into the room quietly. Then suddenly shouted: “MARYAM! Are you going to the interview or sleeping forever?!” Maryam shot upright in bed so fast she nearly fell off. “Mom!” She clutched her chest dramatically. “I told you not to scream like that! You almost gave me a heart attack!” “What time is it?!” she asked in panic. Her mother crossed her arms. “The time that decides whether you get your dream job… or stay unemployed.” Maryam froze. Then she screamed. “I’M LATE!” She jumped out of bed and ran straight toward the bathroom. A few seconds later she rushed back out, stopping briefly in front of the small mirror hanging on her door. She stared at her reflection. Puffy face. Messy hair. Sleep still clinging to her eyes. She tilted her head slightly. “Well… this is not the face of someone about to impress a company.” She sighed dramatically. Then leaned closer to the mirror and whispered to herself: “Here I come… world.” A second later she laughed quietly at her own optimism. Maryam had a strange talent. She could joke even when she was absolutely terrified. On the Way to the Company The morning traffic moved slowly through the city streets. Inside a sleek black luxury car, Caesar sat in the back seat reviewing several documents. His focus was absolute. Every detail mattered. Every number. Every signature. Today was an important day for his company. The car stopped at a red light. Outside, the city was waking up. People hurried to work. Street vendors prepared their stalls. The sound of the morning rush filled the air. And then suddenly— Someone ran past the car. A girl. Blonde. Breathless. Running as if the entire world was chasing her. For a brief moment, Caesar looked up from his papers. Just one second. The morning sunlight caught her hair as she rushed past his car, turning it into a flash of gold. Then she disappeared into the crowd. The moment was gone. Caesar returned his attention to the documents in his hands. But strangely… His mind lingered on that fleeting image. Her eyes— Wait. Did he even see her eyes? He frowned slightly. For a man who rarely noticed strangers, it was unusual that the image of that girl stayed in his thoughts. The traffic light turned green. The car moved again. Yet something about that brief moment felt… strange. In Front of the Company Building Maryam stood in front of the massive tower. Her chest rose and fell as she tried to catch her breath. She clutched the folder containing her resume tightly against her chest. The building rose high into the sky, its glass surface reflecting the sunlight like a mirror. Maryam tilted her head back, staring up. “Wow…” She swallowed nervously. “God… I’m not asking for much.” She looked up toward the sky as if hoping someone was listening. “Just a simple job.” She raised one finger. “A decent salary.” Another finger. “And a boss who isn’t insane.” She paused. Then chuckled nervously. “Okay… maybe the last one is rare.” Taking a deep breath, she walked toward the entrance. The glass doors opened automatically. But the moment she stepped inside… She stopped. Something felt wrong. The lobby was enormous. Polished marble floors reflected the ceiling lights. But there was one strange problem. No one was there. No guards. No employees. No voices. No footsteps. Just silence. Maryam blinked. “Hello?” Her voice echoed slightly across the empty space. She walked forward cautiously, her sneakers making soft tapping sounds against the marble floor. “There must be a mistake…” She passed one office. Then another. All empty. The silence was beginning to feel unsettling. Finally she stopped in front of a large wooden door at the end of the hallway. It was different from the others. Massive. Elegant. Intricately carved. It looked less like the door to an office… And more like the entrance to something dangerous. Maryam hesitated. Then raised her hand. Knock. Knock. Knock. On the Other Side of the Door Inside the office, Caesar sat behind his desk. His jaw was clenched in visible anger. Across from him stood Casper, one of his employees. And he looked terrified. “So let me understand this,” Caesar said slowly. “They asked for the partnership… and now they’re backing out?” Casper swallowed nervously. “I’m sorry, sir. They said the market conditions changed and—” “Get out.” “Sir, I—” “OUT.” Casper didn’t argue again. He practically ran out of the office. And at that exact moment— Knock. Knock. Knock. Caesar’s eyes narrowed. “I said I didn’t want anyone.” But the person outside hadn’t heard him. Knock. Knock. Knock. His irritation finally snapped. He stood up abruptly and strode toward the door with heavy steps. When he reached it, he yanked it open in anger— And froze. Because standing in front of him… Was the same girl who had run past his car minutes earlier. Maryam blinked. He stared. For a moment, neither of them spoke. And strangely… The air between them felt charged with something neither of them could yet explain. Something that would soon change both their lives forever
