Apology unaccepted

It took Jenny five minutes to catch up with me. I was already walking through the park in front of our dorm rooms.

"May, could you stop please?" she was catching her breath.

"How can you like such an arrogant doochebag?!"

"I'm really sorry. He shouldn't have talked like that."

"I wasn't looking at him like that. He is so disgusting." all next day I was still pissed. I just couldn't get it out of my head. Jenny was laughing at it the next day and I smiled with her, but inside I was still offended. What does he even know about me to judge me like that. Just because I don't like him, it doesn't mean I'm some inexperienced virgin or what.

My opinion on Jared Taylor was settled form that day.

I decided I don't care about him from that day. I had to see him in class but thankfully he wasn't there that often and when he was I simply ignored him.

When I walked inside today, he was sitting in back on his favourite spot, I cought his look and turned away as quickly as I could.

When the class started I wasn't able to pay attention as good as when he wasn't there. I was taking my notes but I fought myself thinking about his words again. I was even thinking about my dress. I was wearing white blouse and black jeans, clean, practical, yet elegant in a way. But I knew he would say it is boring and up-tight.

"For god's sake..shut up, May." the end of the class couldn't come quicker.

I was trying to get out as soon as possible, but this day it shouldn't be as easy. He was standing next to the door waiting for somebody and I really hoped it wasn't for me.

"Hey May, can I stop you for second?"

"No, I'm in a rush." I said walking beside him, but he followed me out of the class.

"It's gonna be quick."

"I'm surprised you even remember my name this time." I was already in the hallway.

"Just wanted to talk and apologize. I would like to start again." I stopped right then and there. Did I really hear it correctly.

"What?"

"I don't know you really so I shouldn't have been so harsh. I would like to get to know you a little better now." he smiled at me leaning on the wall comfortably. He was wearing black T-shirt and black jeans. You could see lines of some tattoo on his right arm.

"Why are you telling me this, Jared? I couldn't care less about your stupid apologies and the last thing I want is to get to know you better." I wasn't going to buy this.

"Jesus, chill a little. I'm just being nice. That's all."

"I don't believe you. You are the biggest i***t I know and some stupid apology won't make me change my mind."

"Why are you so pissed? O literally just apologized."

"I don't know what you want, but I won't help you."

"What the f*ck? Why would I need your help? What are you talking about?"

"Am I supposed to believe you that you suddenly felt sorry and after months came to apologize? I'm really not that stupid."

"You are so freaking paranoid."

"Realistic."

He was getting angry. His fault, he should have just continue with ignoring.

"Whatever. I apologised. That's all I wanted to say."

"Well, you did it. Apology not accepted. You can go."

"Why are you so stubborn?"

"I'm not stubborn."

"Then why are you fighting with me now?"

"Because you are bothering me?"

"Or maybe because I was right back then?"

That felt like a f*cking slap.

"What did you just say?"

"That you are boring, inexperienced and obviously frustrated little girl. That's why you can't just let it be and you are sending daggers every time you see me."

He slapped me with his words, I slapped him with my hand. my wrist hurt like hell, but it was still worth it.

When I got to my room I told Jenny everything .

"Don't you freaking dare to look at him again. You have on someone so much better."

"He is not that bad."

"Didn't you just hear what he told me?"

"He wanted to apologise."

"He insulted me!"

"You provoked him. He clearly wanted to let it be." I was ready to shout at her till she would come to. her senses but my phone interrupted me. It was Tom.

"Can I come over? I could really use some relax after practice if you have time."

"That's just what I need."

Jenny rolled her eyes and started with packing her stuff.
