It’s been a week and Harper hasn't breathed a word in my direction.
We’ve had tutorials scheduled for four days in a week but she's missed every single one in the past week without any explanation. I’d hoped that the tutorials would give me a free pass to be near her since my wolf was always itching for her presence, but that had all gone down the drain now.
The most annoying part of losing that extra time with her was that I had to coin a convincing lie each time my father asked about the tutorials. He suspected that it hadn't been holding and if he found out that Harper lied that night because she’s aware of his abuse, all hell would break lose.
I was all out of lies though and father’s suspicion seemed to grow with every lie so I decided to take matters into my own hands.
