HARPER “Honey, are you awake?” mom’s knocks interrupted my morning study session. “Yeah, come on in,” I answered while stretching and yawning. She walked in and frowned at the heap of books at my desk. “Don’t tell me you haven't taken a break from that since you woke up?” she was already shutting the open books and sighing, “it’s the weekend and you're already the top student, Harper, I keep telling you that you need to act like a teenager while you're still one.” While I did in fact read more than was humanly necessary, I actually didn't agree that I needed to have fun every now and then to be considered a regular teenager.
