(Persephone POV)

As we made our way downstairs, I could feel all eyes on us when we entered the kitchen, cheers and applause filled the room. I blushed so hard that I hid behind Leon, and he waved and smiled for the both of us.  Mrs. McCune made my favorite breakfast, French toast covered in fruit and syrup, and a drink I have never seen before. Drink it all up Luna, you’re going to need all the nutrients. What are you saying? Lidia was about to say something before Miranda interrupted her, you just had your first heat its important to replenish your body’s nutrients. Oh, okay then. Before I could sit down Leon quickly scooped me up and sat me in his lap. I looked at Miranda and Lidia and they were just smiling at us, I begin to drink the smoothie, if it can be called that. I found myself full and not in hungry for French Toast, Leon noticed this and offered to go on a walk for fresh air. As we left, I heard Miranda arguing with Mrs. McCune, but I thought nothing of it.

What a beautiful, day! I say twirling in the sun and soaking in the warmth while Leon was a few steps behind. “Persephone, were you sheltered as a child?” I stopped and looked at him, well truth is… Eliza found me, I was being held at this place and that’s where my memories start. I have no memories beyond that, and technically I’m still a “pup”. We don’t know my age, or birthday, the only thing that makes since out of all of this is my eyes. I pointed at them making him chuckle. “Yes, those gorgeous sapphire eyes, only one pack carries that trait and they’re royalty.” Exactly! I crossed my arms, Perse is just as confused as I am!

“Perse?” I looked at him, my wolf. We share one name, we’re whole. “That’s very interesting, Persephone.” I know it sounds crazy, but it’s true, and from what I have seen since I woken up has been crazy! I threw my hands in the air while I but down on my bottom lip. “Persephone?” Yes, Leon? “Come back with me to my pack, I know you wanted to take things slow, but I can’t, not after we mated and marked each other. You make Adonis and me whole.” He grabbed both of my hands and kissed them as he waited for my response.

We should go with him; he will take care of everything. Our packs will merge, and we will be together with our mate, our other half, please Persephone…

I smiled hearing her response, and I looked at Leon and said yes, he picked me up and spun me around and we started kissing each other until I broke our kiss. I need to make an announcement tonight, and I guess I should start packing, we could leave tomorrow night. I know your pack needs you, and I shall not keep them waiting any longer. I tilted my head and sighed looking out to the woods. At least your packland is on the other side of the forest, I would be able to live if I was away from nature! Leon chuckled at my remark and kissed the side of my head, you’re incredible.

Haha, how so? “Well, for a pup, you’re very mature and understanding of pack and council laws. No one the council wanted you give you a chosen mate.” We knew it! The girls and I talked about that outcome, and we had plan in case it did happen. “Is that so? What were you going to tell them pup.” I playfully pushed him as he wrapped me in his arms. “When we get back Dark Crest Pack, I want you to train with my female warriors, and your guards too. Just so I know you’re safe at all times, no matter what.” I smiled a little and looked back at the packhouse, I just started getting to know this place and now I’m already leaving. That means Eliza mission is finally completed…

“Who is Eliza?”

Eliza is my friend Leon, she’s the light witch.

“I don’t think I have met her yet, introduce me when you see her, okay?”

I saw that he looked at me worriedly and started heading back to the pack house in a panic. Eliza? Has anyone seen Eliza?

“I’m sorry, Luna. I do not know who she is.”

That’s not possible, Perse Eliza is real, right?

I-I Cannot sense her, or pick-up her scent… ELIZA?!

I started running through the pack house screaming her name and Leon summons my guards.

Alex, Sylvie, Diana, Lauren, Jennifer, and Brandy where is Eliza?!

Alex steps forward, she was with us when we-

Sylvie: when we all gathered as your party. That was the last place I saw her, Luna.

I don’t understand, why would she leave without telling me, us?! She saved me, she was my sister… Leon comes up and holds me tight. “Think we should step into the Luna’s office, all of us” we all look at Lauren confused but we head make our way there.

“What I say does not leave this room, understood?!”

Yes! We all said in unison.

“Luna, Eliza was not a light witch, she was an angel in disguise. The Sun God had always been searching for the lost child, he never gave up. The lost child is the child of the Sun God and The Moon Goddess. She was taking away and thrown into the mortal realm from the heavens by her jealous siblings. The Moon Goddess made a vow that if the child lived, she would fall from grace but continue as a human. We believe you are that child and sent Eliza to keep an eye on you. You can’t remember what she looks like because she was not supposed to be there in the first place.”

Diana and Alex: Then how is she a werewolf?

“Well, our theory is she was kidnapped by a group of werewolves or trafficked humans and once the saw the marks on her back they kept as in case she was worth something. We believe the Sun God learned of this and sent word to the Moon Goddess who blessed her lost child.”

Ohhhh….

“Like I said it’s a theory, they don’t tell the lower ranks what’s actually going on.”

Leon: So, you don’t know…

Lauren just stares at him says under her breath “I don’t know.”

They laughed a bit, but I just sat in confusion. Even Perse did not know what to make of this information. You guys, I need to be alone, I’ll be in my room. As I got up and exited the room, I felt Leon follow but Alex held him back. “Just give her a couple of minutes to process this, she’ll call you when she’s ready. Trust me.” As I left, I walked through the halls of the packhouse, knowing I have tonight and tomorrow night to be here and then I’ll be across the forest. I made it up to my room and laid in bed, well I guess we should get this announcement over with. I changed into more formal attire to address the pack.

Pack members please join me at a pack meeting in front of the house.

As I stood in front, I saw everyone approaching and Leon’s parents with mine. Haha, I called them mine.

Good afternoon! As you all know a week ago, I have found my mate Alpha Leon Forrester of Dark Crest Pack. Cheers erupted from the crowd, and I raised my hands to bring their volume down. As the silence came back, I continued. You all know how packs work and the pack laws, so I must tell you I will be returning to Dark Crest Pack. Our packs will merge, and we will become one pack. I could hear murmur from the crowd and Leon’s voice boomed over us all.

He was dressed in casual suit and addressed our pack. My Dear Dawn pack, I would be honored to have you all with your Luna, I have the space and the town houses for you all, but I will not force you to go. I know how much work you have put into this all of this. If you wish to remain here you may, but you will still follow your Luna’s word if not mine, understood?

I saw the crowd nod with approval. I grabbed his hand and spoke up; Richard and Miranda will be here as well taking care our the packhouse and overseeing anyone stays. I leave tomorrow in the early afternoon, so take your time deciding. We will be back visiting I smile and wave at everyone as we conclude the meeting. I head pack inside and put my hair up in a bun. I need to start packing something I need with me, if anyone needs me. “I can help if you want Perse.” Thanks Leon but I think I’ll have Miranda and your mother help me for now and you can hang out with Richard and your dad. As we head upstairs Miranda pulls out some bags and bins as they start asking me what needs to go and stay. Lidia tells me about the pack and how everything is there. Miranda tells me how sophisticated and modern that is compared to ours. I nod in agreement as I lay down on the bed, I’m happy don’t get me wrong but life is moving so damn fast right now.

They both laugh and sit on each side of me. “Sweetie you don’t know the half of it!” We continued packing and I realized I really didn’t have that much, in fact if I wanted to know we could leave now and make it back before midnight. I ask them their thoughts and they said to leave in the morning, it would be easier this way. They both left my room and I linked Leon to come on up. Hey, I kind of tired… I think I am calling it early. “Yeah it is getting late, lets get you all washed up.” I don’t want to get up, I said pouting. “Ahh, feeling the blues now?” I sniffled, yeah…

“I’ll take care of you, come on.” He picked me up and took me to the bathroom while turning on the shower. I got undresses, got in the shower and we stood under the hot water. After a while I finished bathing, and we got out. I’m grateful that he sense I’m not in the mood for s*x. Perse’s ears perked, and I could feel her wagging her tail. She started flashing images in my head and Leon started feeding off of my energy. “Adonis knows Perse want to play but not tonight, let’s just rest.” We finished drying off and put on some pajamas, he kissed my forehead. As we walked over to the bed, I laid on his bare chest taking in his scent as he could feel me through the thin t-shirt I put on.
