Meeting The Dark Crest Pack

As we pulled apart and finished our shower, I mind linked my guards to freshen up before we met the pack, as Leon had some of his take their place for the time being. I began to apply lotion to my skin while Leon watched my every move. He slowly got dressed into some black slacks, squared toed shoes, and a buttoned-up shirt. As I was standing at the closet choosing what to wear, I noticed this pack had a green theme and it pleased me so much that I chose my matcha green silk dress, with a corset top and loose sleaves with three buttons at the cuffs for my wrist. The bottom of the dress looked like a loose skirt that gave it a romantic look, and for my hair I chose to leave it down and added some braids to keep some hair out of my face. As I put on my moonstone jewelry, I was gifted from the Sapphire pack, I made a note to invite them to the ceremony this week. As I started to hum a song Miranda taught and as I sang one of the verses “So this is love” Leon gasped and when I looked at him, he pointed to my hair where tiny white moon flowers had started to bloom. I started to giggle and said so this is love?

I ran over to Leon, and he picked me up, spined us, and he said it to “So this is love” and he kissed me gently. I looked at him smiling and he led us to the door, unlocked it and opened where my guards were refreshed and ready for the day. We headed downstairs where murmurs came from the house staff and pack members who hang out in the recreational rooms. Good morning, I said to them as we passed through the rooms and headed outside, as pack members still gathered and when I saw Leon’s parents I bowed, Good Morning Mother Luna. “You are incredibly polite and well trained in the etiquette of greeting ranked members, Miranda truly is your mother.” She hugged me in front of everyone causing cheers and applause.

“Good morning Dark Crest Pack, today as some of you may already know I have amazing news! Persephone Greene, known as Luna Persephone of The Dawn Pack, Queen of the Rogues, and Persephone of the Woods is my fated mate and our Luna! The crowd exploded into cheers and as he rose his hand the began to calm down so he may continue, before you are six handpicked women who are apart of the Luna Guards and they are ranked members in this pack, treat them as such! Any questions?”  “Yes, where is the sixth guard?” One person called out. I looked back and saw that Lauren was no longer there, and I felt the tear in my heart…

She has abandoned us, her mission was not to be our guard but to spy, now that we have protection from the Demon King, she will not dare interfere with us.

I nodded in response and stepped forward. Unfortunately, she had a mission that required her to resign her position as a Luna’s Guard. Ladies, a position has opened up for a guard, if you’re interested, please come find me once my office has been set up. I could see some of the female warriors’ eyes light up to this and I continued my speech. I want to thank you all for welcoming me into your pack as well as Dawn Pack, we are incredibly grateful for the Moon Goddess and you, I said smiling and the cheering started again. I raised my hand as Leon did and the cheering died down, I look forward to the Luna Ceremony that will be held under the next full moon, next week. I will need all hands-on deck! After the ceremony I look forward to the pack run I said smiling. “Pack Run?! How ancient are you?” Snickering could be heard from a group of pups as Leon was going to say something the pack members backed up until I put my hand on his chest and smiled at him.

I gracefully descended the steps to the blonde girl where everyone backed up more. I stared into her eyes, what is your name, rank, and job pup? “What did you call me?” Please do not make me ask twice, pup. She let out a growl trying to intimidate me and laughed in her face making her face go pale. I started circling her like prey, if you won’t tell me, I’ll just have to guess. I started sniffing her and chuckled, Omega, if you can even call yourself that. You just gained your wolf last year, Genesis who is embarrassed by your actions. Ahhh, your part of the house staff, thank you Genesis. Well, Steffany Newton, if I were you, I would be on my best behavior and learn your place when addressing your Luna. I only give out three chances, and you have two left, think about that. As I climbed the stairs and turned back to the crowd, I smiled and explained the reasoning behind the pack run.

The pack run is a tradition that has been neglected by many packs causing disruption in pack life. The pack run is a bonding experience, it unifies the pack members and brings tranquility to the pack. We would feel closer to each other then you though you ever could. I will not force you to participate but I wish with all my heart soul to see you all there! I smiled and wave and the crowd applauded as we dispersed, Leon grabbed my ass. “I want you now, mate.” He whispered in my ear making me turn redder than my hair. We headed inside as we sat down for lunch Leon had me sat in his lap again and I giggled making all the plants in the room grow. Some plants flowers even began to bloom as everyone watched in awe. He fed me strawberries as I fed him one and then we hear one of my guards Diana made a comment “Get a room, ugh.” Jeremy chimed and said once you’ll find your mate you won’t be saying that as he looked at Brandy and they were both laughing. Diana rolled her eyes and we all sat down and talked about the ceremony; Lidia has been planning this with Miranda since the night of the party.

I noticed someone past Diana and headed to the kitchen, Leon who is that over there? “Oh, that’s Benjamin, one of our guards.” Excuse me everyone, I have left something unattended that requires my attention.  Leon looked at me confused and followed me as I ask Benjamin to speak with us in Leon’s office. Leon raised an eyebrow at me and lead the way, as I entered the office first, I sat on Leon’s desk and had Benjamin sit in a chair and Leon in his chair. I looked at Benjamin and broke the ice, Steffany is your mate? 

They both looked shocked, and Benjamin simply nodded, when did she reject you? “It’s been a year, Luna.” I saw you staring at her when you were in the kitchen, and put the two together, you have yet to accept her rejection? Leon was officially intrigued and waited for his response, “No, I have not accepted it, she’s just young and not ready for the bond.” I looked at him apologetically, and quickly changed the subject. I heard you applied for the Gama Position, Benjamin. “Yes, that is correct, Luna.” What if I told you the position would be yours if you publicly rejected her rejection at the Luna Cereomny?

Please trust me Leon, I would not be doing this if I did not know something.

“It is a very interesting proposal, Luna. How long do I have until I need to give you answer?” If you wish to accept, come to the stage, and we will let you have the floor. “Why are you doing this?” I can sense your heart being broken over and over because you’re holding onto the mate bond that she does not care for. I kneeled before him and took his hands as he tried to hold back tears. I promise you that the Moon Goddess will grant you a beautiful gift if you accept her rejection publicly and take the Gama position. Please have faith in this and you will be rewarded for it. “Then I accept, Luna. Alpha do you agree to this?” Leon looked at him and said I trust my Luna and her decisions, follow her instructions and all will be fine. He smiled and bowed before he left the office, "Now we need to have a meeting with our current Gama, you're going to make him a very happy man, baby."
