(Leons POV)
After watching Perse show a little bit of her true power, it did make Leon worry, but for all the wrong reasons. Leon wanted to follow Perse into the woods to keep her close, but her guards were always putting her first instead of their Alpha. He knew that he was not their true Alpha yet, but with a princess of the heavens at his side, no one would dare defy him. The f*****g nerve to send Samuel after her, he thought to himself. All the ranked members were saying she's fine and Genesis, putting her two cents in whenever she f*****g can. She came back different, a little more mature, and I can't have that. Who the hell does she think she is?! I always thought Alex was a problem but this girl, Diana,... Taking her out, far from the packlands for a girls night out, where I cannot keep my eyes on her. That skimpy outfit they put on her, she's mine!
I was with Samuel and Jeremy as Perse was heading up to our room to shower when he received a call from his Gamma. He apologized and went to gather his belongings to head back to the Sapphire pack to handle some tasks. Something their Gamma could not oversee was a sight to see. It shows his pack will be easily taken over when Perse becomes Luna tomorrow evening. Samuel left and told his others that he would be back for the ceremony. Good, he thought to himself. He stood up and walked him out like if nothing was bothering him, and wished him luck. The Sapphire pack was going to need it. Leon was a gentleman, raised right, had a wonderful pack life growing up and yet there was another side to him no one knew of. The darker part of him is that.
As he slammed his fist on his desk, a voice came from the shadows. "She's having a wonderful time, you know, but they're slowly realizing that something is off with you. Do you still have the potions I made for you?" No, I had to use them all to keep her close to me at all times, he said, growling to the figure shrouded in a dark mist. "TSk, Tsk, Tsk" The shadowy figure tossed a sack on the desk, and started to laugh. "After all the information I have given you and your wolf, the supplies, the dark witches, the ritual, the location to activate her wolf side, and you somehow managed to f**k it all up! Do you have any idea the power it takes to fool all of the realms, even the gods, so they do not interfere with your 'mate bond' with the lost child?" The person emerged from the shadows and revealed his true self, an angelic looking being. "You failed me Leon, you and your wolf just lost the one thing she needed in order to get what we both need!" The angel flew to him in an instant and had him by the throat. Your mark is gone and the 'mate bond' that was never there is broken. You may feel some discomfort but it was never real, Leon. As Leon realized his mark was gone, he began to feel threatened by the being before him.
"Your plan was good, excellent even, but in the end you're not very good at playing the long game." I can get her back, trust me. "Elaborate." I have sent men to keep an eye on her, once they receive word they will bring her back. "She's having an awakening. learning new things about herself, her power, now that she is not under a roof that coddled her. Your men won't stand a chance against her, and Celeste will not be happy about that. Her offer still stands, you know." Once the last word was said, the angel disappeared and Leon released a wave of anger that the whole pack felt. He sent out a mindlink apologizing to everyone, but his family was already at the door of his office, knocking. Leon organized his office, hid the sack just before unlocking the door and letting them in. As they pestered him with questions, he interpreted them with Perse and rejected me. I guess she really was not ready, mom," he said as he put his tear ducts to work. She shushed him and walked over to hug him while someone came in and said that Genesis was leaving, and someone destroyed everything for the ceremony. They all ran outside to see Genesis standing in front of a car as her bags were being loaded.
"After the destruction of the ceremony, I have decided to no longer extend my stay. I have sent word to Miranda and Richard." Please, Ms. Fontaine, do not leave just yet, we can fix everything, and have Perse back in time. Leon's mother chimed in. "Lydia, you were always a good girl, but I have been a Luna a lot longer than you might think. I know when there is magic and lies involved. I know that the young woman has some things to figure out, but I think its best if she is left alone for now. Or will I interfere as an elder as she belongs to our pack, is that understood?" Leon and his parents nodded in submission to not defy the council, but Leon had other plans, other options to gain back what he had been promised. If his next move did not work, maybe it was time he considered Celeste's offer...
(Samuel's POV)
I left as soon as my gamma called me saying there was an issue involving our boarders. If I can't leave you alone for more then two days, maybe it's time to look into a new Gamma." I hung up and explained the situation while apologizing to Leon and Jeremy as I headed to my room to gather my belongings. I explained to my mother, who had a disappointed look on her face, but she knew Alpha duties would always come first. As I wrapped up, I caught her scent lingering on the stairs but kept moving. I cannot lose my composure for the sake of Elara and my mother. Once I was downstairs, Leon and I shook hands and told him and headed to my car. Once I was in, I had the driver take off so I would not waste anytime getting back to my pack. We were on the road for forty minutes until Eliza and Xalmos teleported into my car on either side of me. My driver tried to stop but I commanded him to keep driving. "Hello again, Sammy." Eliza, what a pleasant surprise, and this must be your mate? Lets get straight to the point, Xalmos said. He continued on," We know you are Elara's true mate. We know Leon has been working with an angel, and possibly Celeste to have a 'mate bond' with Elara. "Tonight I need you to get Silas to text Diana, convince the girls for a night out. We can break the spell and remove his mark. Oh and she will be out of his pack space, so you will have to move her to your pack for safety. Elara said cheerfully.
She looked at me and motioned to my cellphone and I did as I was told. It took a couple of minutes but we got confirmation that they're doing it. I smiled, knowing that she was going to experience a new part of life for the first time. "Awe, how cute!" Eliza, darling please, let the man have this moment. I looked at both of them and scoffed, pretty odd for the king and queen of demons... Eliza laughed, let's continue shall we? The rest of the plan is simple, really. Once she is off of Dark Crest pack Territory we are going to use magic to speed up the trips to get to the club. It is imperative that we break the bond and remove the mark as fast as possible. Celeste is playing her next piece. I let out a growl hearing that name, continue... "We are going to need her to start drinking. She does not know she has a high tolerance for alcohol because of being a supernatural being. Once she is at the club, give her two witches shots. This will open her and Perse up more and drop their guard for the next part. Sebastian has a couple of light witches and I am going to hire one. Sebastian would need to get her close to cast the first part of the spell. Then I would make a third shot and he would take it over to the witch, and she would do another spell, where she would then have Elara drink it. This will break the magical bond in place and remove his mark."
" I was right all along, and Alpha did kidnap her, knowing her true identity, and activated her mother's side in order to gain power. I just did not think it was Leon..." Xalmos looked over at Eliza and told her it was not her fault, he has allies that can play from the shadows. Now all we can do is make sure that she is with her true mate, her true awakening, and Samuel's as well.
My awakening, what are you two going on about? They stared at him in silence, ending the topic right then and there. Feeling the tense moment, he changed the subject. Well, you two really have thought this out... Very well, Silas will have no trouble getting her to drink, he is the charismatic one. As for Sebastian, he's a wild card but he will get it done. What do you need from me? "We need you to be there right as she is freed from the magic. Perse and Elara will need you more than ever. She does not know what the true mate bond is, she does not know what true love is, and only a true mate can give her what she needs, Samuel. That's what we need from you, only you two can stop Celeste's and the sun god's plans." What did you just say? "All in time, young wolf. Lets get you reunited with your destined mate." I looked at Xalmos and nodded. We arrived in the city in a blink and they dropped me off in front of the condo building I own. I quickly went up to get a shower, and get ready. I combed my hair back and decided to wear my black slim fit button down, and black pants. I waited for the text from my brothers and when it was time to go I did not hesitate. I went directly to the club, and came in through the back entrance.
I went up to the second floor to watch over the crowd and that's where I saw her, living in the moment, sweat glistening on her body from dancing to the music. My heart nearly leaped out of my chest, and my wolf Hades was ready to have his way with her. It took every bit of strength to control him. I watched as Sebastian brought another drink to her and he looked up and nodded. Then I saw the flowers blooming in her hair, and I smiled as I was walking down the stairs. Everyone was watching me, and then petals began to fall from the sky, like it was part of the club's plan, but it was her. She knew I was watching her, she felt my presence, and started moving her body in a way that would cause any man to crawl on the floor towards her. I approached her slowly from behind, I started moving with her, following her dancing, and the crowd gasped. I'm always business first, no fun, no games, just the strict Alpha who is going to spend the rest of his life alone, or so I thought. I looked at her neck where the mark was and sure enough it was gone. I traced it with my finger and I felt her body go completely weak from my touch. I spined her gently to face me and as I was looking into her eyes, I knew this was the right moment for our first kiss.
