It's been a harrowing few weeks getting the pack house ready. The council recognized us as an official pack, and Richard was kind enough to keep my appearance a secret until we could host an official gathering for the neighboring packs.

Perse! I giggled at her remark, I have been meaning to ask you... I have been having dreams of late that feel so real, that it is hard to tell them apart from life. 

It is one of our many gifts, the ability to control nature, premonitions, and healing.

The third guard,  Diana Starling? She will be here before nightfall, and then there are three more who will come to us. Once all the guards have assembled, that is when we can host the gathering. What is happening is much larger then we ever expected, right Perse?

Perse let's out a playful purr and we head over to speak with Elder Richard who is now overseeing everything, he said he has been having dreams that felt like visions. He says he must have been chosen to help me be where I need to be. I also learned that he lost his mate in a rogue attack a few years back, and his second chance mate was once a Luna that was banished because her mate fell for a young wolf. She has been teaching me everything I need to know, regarding being a Luna. 

Good Morning Mother Luna, and Elder Richard! "Good Morning, Luna Persephone! Excellent use of titles when greeting ranked members, my child." Thank you, Miranda, please let me know if I may get anything for you two. They nodded as I walked away headed toward the pack house, its a fixer upper but Richard says it can be done. In its prime, the house was white with large pillars to hold up the front porch roof. Large windows that would fill the rooms with sunlight during the day, and I could almost picture the kitchen filled with happy moments... Beautiful green shudders, gardens, and outdoor activities for the pack to utilize. It's a four story house, that could fit the ranked families on each floor. 

Alexandria was not joking when she said she had money, and not mention Richard is putting his money into this as well. I have such a strange feeling that the gathering they would like me to host is more then just a meet and greet... I need to talk with the girls, I mind link them and find Eliza; I quickly tell them my concerns. "It sounds like they're trying to find you a mate, a female leading a pack is forbidden in the werewolf community. If I were you, I would show up in a dress that would have all of them swooning over you, make connections but reject their advances. You're pure, and that is a little uncommon for a werewolf... We are very s****l creatures, back to what I was saying...  Tell them you're waiting for your fated mate, only he will win your purity, heart, and spirit. A chosen mate is unacceptable in the yes of the Moon Goddess" 

 I look at Eliza and Alex stunned. Sylvie, this is the longest time you held a conversation with us, I smile at her in approval. She returns the gesture and shrugs her shoulders. Well, that sounds like the most logical answer and Perse agrees. We all nod in approval, agreeing that this will be the best course of action, if needed. Then I receive a mind link from one of our guards. "Luna a woman is at our gate, she says you know she was coming?" Let her pass, as I cut off the mind link to the guard, and wait for her arrival. About fifteen minutes a beat up Honda roles in and comes to a stop, out a young woman with blond short hair and green eyes gets out. I step forward, Diana, it's a pleasure to meet you. "As well as yourself, princess."

Alex: Watch how you speak to your Luna! 

Diana: She's not my Luna yet, I don't have to accept this invitation you know? 

Eliza: Invitation?

Sylvie: We were all chosen, the dreams, the visions, it all lead to you Persephone. You're our purpose, and Diana would be an ignorant fool if she passed this up. 

I look at the girls, and then back at Diana smirking, what say you? 

Diana: Ugh, fine. I'm in. 

I look at Alex, be nice! Girls, give Diana a tour of the house, I have something I left unattended. "Sure thing, lets go!" Eliza shouted. I walk into some trees and kneel down in pain, images are coming to me of the gathering, men, and women laughing as someone hit one of my omegas. This can't be good as I put a hand on one side of my face. 

We have to be extremely careful, Persephone. It could be someone very powerful, pick your battles wisely. 

I know, Perse... I still can't stand by and watch someone hurt my pack member, my family! I do not care who it is, they're going to make enemies with the wrong Luna. I get out of my clothing and let Perse take over, letting her out to hunt and run keeps up her strength, and endurance. I mind link the girls and tell them not to worry, I'll be back in a few hours after my run. I have done this numerous times over the weeks. After running for an hour or two I stop by my favorite little spot for a quick swim, it's a gorgeous  waterfall that falls into a lake. Surrounded by flowers and moss, and nature, making me feel more in my element. I decide to shift back and practice my nature ability. Growing flowers and more trees to surround this area, I make a flower crown and place it on my head, I part my hair to cover my breasts, and slowly get into the lake.

As I am standing in the lake a twig snaps, I keep up my charade of being completely unaware and bathing myself. As the foot steps come closer I turn to face my attacker and suddenly I'm frozen... I was met by beautiful grey eyes... I think my heart skipped a beat or two. Perse is screaming in head but I tune her out. 

"Wh-, who are you?" 

He spoke to me... 

You're so beautiful, he begins to step closer and then I hear Perse. 

MATE! MATE! MATE!

Shit... I immediately shift and make a run for it, hoping he does not follow me. Perse is whining and begging to go back but I can't, not now... 

(Unknown POV)

I finally found her, I said to myself smiling. I laid down in the grass taking in her scent as she made a run for it. She was heading back to the new pack, what's it's name again? More importantly what is her name, I say as my wolf purrs. I hope I see her at the gathering, I have been searching for her for years, and I finally found her! Here of all places, right on the boarder between Persephone's pack and mine. Thank you Moon Goddess!!!! I have to make a great first impression if I'm to ask the Luna to search for her. I should bring gifts, and become an ally to her. 

I get up and start heading home, only two more weeks until the gathering. I can make it two more weeks, I have waited fives years for her. I must tell my family the good news, they're going to be thrilled. Hopefully this gets the council off my ass about picking a chosen mate, they even thought this new Luna would be a good fit. I don't even know her, my wolf Adonis agrees with me as we make it to the pack house. I grab shorts from my Beta, Jeremy and mind link my parents to meet me in my office. As I walk in, and I see they're already there with an Elder. Good Evening Elder Claire... "Young Alpha, I have come with another marriage proposal." I cut her off before she can say anymore, no need arranged marriages or chosen mates. I have found my mate and she is from Luna Persephone's pack. I intend on bringing her gifts and an alliance agreement for her pack members hand. 

They stared at me in shock and my father shouted, you heard him , Claire, you can get out now. My mother walks Claire out as she gives me a death stare and closes the door behind her. "This is wonderful news! Two weeks until the gathering, two weeks until you can bring your mate home, and we will have grandchildren!!" Mom, you need to calm down, I am not trying to scare my mate away, she will have a lot on her plate if she is not of ranked blood. Lets just start with Luna training, yeah? She nodded but her eyes were sad, and my dad laughed at her reaction. Well, it's getting late, I'm going to shower and head to bed. I need these two weeks to fly by, I can't wait to see her again! I say smiling and leaving my office, once I showered and laid in bed the red head was all I could think about. Long legs, hair that shined like the sun, skin that sparkled like the moon and those eyes... Those Sapphire eyes I mumbled as I fell to sleep.
