The days of waiting were over for Nora as she is now legally married to Derick. Nora felt like a prisoner in a cage as Derick’s mansion became her new home. Nora never believed she would find herself in a situation like this.

Derick woke up feeling so tired and he started getting close to Nora trying to give her a kiss. Nora who was still thinking of how she is going to adapt to her new life didn’t know when Derick kissed her.

“Won’t you be going to the office today? Nora asked Derick.

“I am a boss of my own, I don’t work for anybody instead people work for me so i choose the time i go to office” replied Derick

It was at that point Nora began to notice how arrogant Derrick is. Nora knew she is in for the worse and if she doesn’t find a way out, she would forever be a slave to Derick.

Derick got into the bathroom leaving Nora in the bedroom.

“Nora could you get me a glass of coffee? Said Derrick. Nora then went downstairs and prepared two glass of coffee. She had her own there while she brought the other cup for for Derick.

As she got upstairs, Derick was dressed already waiting for her. As Nora handed the glass of coffee to him, it slipped and the cup broke. For some reasons, Nora wasn’t afraid because she thought Derick would behave gentle but to her suprise,Derick got up from the chair he was sitted on and gave Nora a slap on her cheek and left the house with his briefcase.

Nora was dumbfounded as she is still yet to recover from the shock of what just happened. Nora sat on the bed for about two hours thinking of what happened. “If only mary was here, she would have been the one serving him breakfast”. Nora said to herself with tears flowing down from her eyes.

Nora did not know when she fell asleep due to too much thinking. The environment seemed so quiet so any slight sound could awaken Nora. The sound of a horn kept pressing hard on Nora’s ears, she woke up thinking it was Derick so she went to the balcony and she peeped from there to see if it was actually Derick.

Knowing that it wasn’t Derick, Nora cleaned up the mess of the broken glass and headed downstairs to get something to eat. Nora didn’t lack anything she wanted. The only thing she lacked is her peace of mind and happiness. She becomes so sad anytime she remembers that she is a slave to Derick.

While Nora is still downstairs, she stumbled upon a hidden room. Inside, she found a very large and beautiful piano and her fingers itched to play. Nora is a lover of music but she didn’t really have music instruments to showcase her love for music.

Now Nora found out that she has access to playing instruments, she made it her hobby. Nora played the piano pouring out all her emotions into the sound emitting from the piano. Nora loved music so much because it had a way of soothing her spirit. Nora played all day and she didn’t even know when Derick came inside.

Nora,Nora, Nora!!!! Derick kept on shouting her name but he didn’t get any response. Derick was so upset and confused because he has searched everywhere and he didn’t see Nora. Derick started to think that Nora has made her way out of the house.

Nora who is still in the music room didn’t know Derick is looking for her. Nora didn’t know he would be back by that time. It was till the electricity in the music room went off that Nora heard Derick calling her name. Nora left what she was doing and went outside.

Nora saw Derick approaching towards her and she became so afraid because she knew Derick could raise his hands on her again. Nora remembered what happened earlier in the morning between her and Derick and she didn’t want that to happen again.

“Where have you been? Derick said

Nora began to stammer because of the sharpness in his voice.

“ I said where have you been, are you dumb? Can’t you speak? Derick said this with a more stern look on his face.

“ I was in the kitchen said Nora, her voice barely above a whisper.

“If you do not speak the truth, I would do something you don’t like said Derick.

Nora was afraid that Derick could react aggressively if she told him that she was at the music room so she maintained her stance.

“I searched every corner of the house including the kitchen and I didn’t see you there. Nora, I would ask you for the very last time, where were you?

Nora knew Derick is capable of anything and she decided to tell him where she was. Nora could feel the anger in his voice and she didn’t want him to pounce on her.

“ I was in the music room, Nora said with her eyes closed and her heart breathing heavily. Just as Nora said it, Derick’s phone rang and he picked up the phone and went upstairs to take his calls.

Nora did not know how to feel when she opened her eyes and saw that Derick has gone upstairs. Nora was so excited that a call came in for Derick and it saved her from his wrath that evening. Nora gathered herself together and went to the kitchen to prepare what Derick would eat.

Nora kept on thinking of the type of food she would prepare for him so that she could please him. She eventually prepared what came to her mind and she went upstairs to serve Derick. Nora wasn’t certain if what she prepared would make Derick happy but either way, she went to serve him.

Derick who is fast asleep didn’t know when Nora came inside the room and dropped the tray of food on the table. Derick woke up after sensing the aroma of the food.

Nora seemed happy when she noticed Derick liked the scent of the food. She has never seen Derick smile like this in a while. Nora felt fulfilled having put a smile on the face of her husband.
