CHAPTER THIRTY SIX
Upon arriving in Boston, Anna went immediately to Will’s hotel. She didn’t want to miss him before he left for home. Ausable went with her and waited downstairs in the restaurant. She went up to his room and knocked on the door. He answered.
“Was it a successful shopping trip?” he asked as he indicated for her to enter.
She smiled and went in. “More successful than you can imagine.” She sat at the table.
“I’m glad to hear that. I wish I could relax. All I’ve been doing is worrying and waiting for the other shoe to drop. It was good to be with the boys though. They helped keep my mind off my troubles for a bit.”
