CHAPTER 1 It was a night of endless rainfall as the storm was very heavy and everywhere was dark, a loud sound came in the direction of the residence entrance. Lysander, who was the only person awake, came to check it out. As she was about to take a step, she heard another strange sound. She was dying of fear because she wasn't able to see anything. She asked anxiously and was curious to know who was making the sound. “Who is there? Can you please say something, she said in a shivering voice. But unfortunately for her, there was no response to her questions. She looked around her but didn't see anything. Suddenly, she heard a voice who called her name. Lysander! Lysander!! The voice was bold and was familiar to her. She went to check out from the direction she heard the voice and saw her Uncle and asked if he was the one making the sound. “Dad, were you the one making those scary sounds?” Lysander asked. “It wasn't me and what sound are you talking about? Besides, I called for you to get me a glass of water” he said in a sleepy voice. She went to get the glass of water and took it to her uncle. She was about to give it to him and mistakenly poured it on her uncle. Rossi quickly stood up and gave her a big slap. “Are you okay? What nonsense is this? " Rossi said in anger. “Dad, I'm sorry. It was a total mistake. I mistakenly did it. I am sorry" she was talking in fear and tears. “Get out of my sight before you face my rot”, Rossi said. She then quickly left the room and went to the corner of the sitting room and started shedding tears. Lily, her step-sister, heard her whimpering in the middle of the night and showed concern to ask what was wrong. Lily got to where Lysander was and tapped her on the back. Hey Lysander, what is wrong with you? Why are you sobbing? Lily asked. “Never mind, it's nothing, just that I felt some pain. That's why” she lied. “I know that there is some problem, but since you would rather not share the problem you can die with it” lily replied rudely. As Lily left, Lysander was left alone. She sobbed until she slept off. There came a knock on the door. Ethan felt disturbed by the loud knock and asked who it was. He asked to come in, and it was his personal assistant Julian. Julian came towards him. He bowed his head and said to him that his presence was needed in the dining room for him to have his breakfast with the family. “Ethan, your presence is needed right now at the dinning, the message is from your elder brother.” “ Okay, you can just go. I will be there in a few minutes.” Ethan stood up and managed to get ready, he went to the dinning and joined the family. Everyone waited for him to come except his brother Logan. Logan was his twin brother who hated him with passion, but Ethan respected and loved so much and took him like a father since his father passed away, but the love seemed not to be equal because of some past issues between them both of the park and the throne. As they were all done eating, Ethan called on Julian, his personal guard and told him to follow him on a walk in the palace. He trusted only Julian, who always fed him with good advice. As they walked through the village paths. Lysander and Lily walked through them and noticed that it was the alpha king. They greeted him with great respect, bowing their heads to him. Lily was excited to see the king and asked Lysander to escort her to approach Ethan. She told her that they are sent on an errand and must deliver promptly but Lily insisted. He appreciated it but wasn't concerned about the greetings he was only concerned about the discussion he was having with Julian. The members of the moonlight park never wanted Ethan to be the alpha king because of the way their minds were spoiled by his brother Logan. For Ethan, he knew that his brother never loved him for once, but he vowed he couldn't leave the throne for another. He made every effort that the throne was his despite the minds of the park. Logan, his brother, who was also curious about the throne, also vowed he would do anything to get the throne. He spoiled the minds of the people, accusing Ethan of being the killer of his parents. The only depression he had was that Ethan was more powerful than him, and he was the alpha king. But Logan always uses tricks on him. Playing to be the good guy and Ethan the bad one, these two decided to choose the throne over their brotherhood, but Ethan always showed love to his brother despite all the brutality. Lysander and Lily went home together as they entered the living room. Lysander was welcomed home with a slap. Rossi ignored his daughter and faced the blame only on Lysander because they were late at the errand that he sent them. Lysander tried to say something but was interrupted by her uncle because she was going to say the cause was Lily, so he avoided her to explain anything. “What were you doing, getting to an hour I sent you on an errand you stood waiting and discussing nonsense” Rossi said in anger “I was fast but” she said As she tried to explain the reason she dissolved into tears saying to herself if only you were to be alive you could have less the pain I have she said it in a low voice, so her stepfather couldn't hear anything but Rossi heard her murmuring but couldn't hear the exact thing she was saying he ignored it and left her outside lily came close to her to console her and told her to am please excuse the pain I caused you am genuinely sorry.
