Chapter 6

The next morning, I was already up by 6 am. I was anxious as hell to find my mate. As I got ready to start the day, Matt was waking up.

“Come on Matt, it’s almost time for breakfast. Don’t you want to see your mate today?” I asked. That woke him up right away. By the time we were ready, it was already time for breakfast. As we were heading there, Matt was blabbering all over the place. “I swear Shawn, she is just an angel. I cannot believe I finally found her. Now it is you that needs to find your mate. I trust that you will find her before we even leave from here.” He says. “Yea man. I really want to see my mate and never let her go. I will kill anyone if they dare to even look at her. She is mine and no one else.” I replied. Matt just laughs. “I swear that it sounds like you had found her man.” “I did, she just doesn’t know it yet.” Matt looks at me shocked. “You found her? Where? When? Who is she?”  “Calm down. I only saw her from afar. I did not want to scare her more than what she was already. I don’t know who she is, but I swear to moon goddess that she is perfect for me.”

“Don’t worry Shawn, we will find her.” Soon we arrived. There were many members from various packs already inside.  Matt was looking around, looking for his mate, while I was looking for mine. “Matt! Over here!” a young she-wolf yelled. Matt immediately went over to her, dragging me along with him. “Claire! Meet my Alpha, Shawn. Shawn, meet Claire, my beautiful mate.” “It’s nice to finally meet you Claire. Matt was going crazy talking about you.” I replied with a smile. Claire blushes and looks down. Matt laughs and hugs her, looking at her like a lost puppy. “Come and sit with us Alpha Shawn. We are just waiting on my friend Liz.” Claire says. Suddenly, the smell of lavender and strawberries hits my nose. I breath it in deeply, looking around for my mate. Finally, I see her, heading towards our table. I lock eyes with her, everything else disappears. I can only see her, her smile, her honey color eyes, her hair flowing behind her. Breathtaking.

“Liz, finally you’re here. We are starving here.” Claire tells her. My mate just laughs. She turns around, and sees me, her eyes wide open. ‘Mate, mate. Get to her, hug her.’ My wolf says. “Mate.” We both replied. We cannot take our eyes from each other, while we are getting closer. She looks up to me, with that beautiful smile never leaving. “Hi.” My mate says, while shyly blushing. I couldn’t stop myself, I grabbed her hand, “Hello beautiful, I’m Shawn, Alpha of the Black Moon. What is your name?” I asked her. She looks up and says, “Elizabeth, but my friends call me Liz.”

I sat her next to me, while never stop looking at her. She blushes a deeper crimson color when she sees me still looking at her. She looks down, our hands still together. She smiles at me, her eyes sparking and lovingly. My heart felt so much happiness just looking at her, I could not wait to take her home after all this is over. Suddenly, I hear someone cough. We both look up to see our friends smile at us, completely forgetting they were there too. They laugh, knowing well of our reactions. I smiled down at my little mate, hugging her from the side, while eating breakfast.

Soon, we were talking, asking each other questions. We were getting to know each other. It felt right with her, it was easy to get along with her. I was finally happy. I finally found my mate, and I was not going to let her go for nothing in this world. She is mine.
