His Chosen One

Chapter 3

As soon as my parents left, I felt relieved. I let out a sigh I didn’t know I was holding in. Luna smiled knowingly, while letting the pack members know where to leave my stuff. When they leave, Luna takes me up to the guest room ill be using in the meantime before the slumber party starts tomorrow. “I know how your parents are Liz, that’s why I had a good talk with the elders, to make this ceremony mandatory. That way, your parents can’t say anything against of you going. Now, you go rest well tonight and we will see tomorrow morning alright?” “Thank you, Luna. I really appreciate the effort. I sure will now. Good night.” I replied. Once Luna left, I closed my door. And went to change into my pajamas. By the looks of things, it seems they brought everything I had in my room. Even my electronics and my book collections. I shake my head and head to bed, turning the lights off and closing my eyes, falling into a peaceful sleep.

I woke up the next morning, with the sunlight hitting my face. I groan and put the pillow to my face. All of a sudden, I hear laughter. I sit up right away, looking around the room. Claire and Monique are laughing in front of the bedroom door. I smiled, happy in seeing my friends. Once they see me awake, they come in.

“Thank Moon Goddess you’re awake. It takes you ages for you to even open your eyes.” Monique exclaims. Claire starts to laugh again. “Come on girl, get ready or we will be late for breakfast with Luna.” She says. At the mention of breakfast, I hurriedly take a shower and dressed up. We go running through the stairs to the dining room. Many of the girls from our pack are there. Luna came right after we arrived. “Good morning Luna.” We all said. “Good morning ladies. Seems like everyone is here. Please take a seat now. Breakfast will be served now.” Every sat down, while breakfast was being served. After breakfast, Luna made an announcement. “As you all know, the Chosen Ceremony is this weekend. We will all get prepared for that day, but we will also have a little fun in the meantime.” We all cheered. We know how fun Luna can be. We all talked excitedly among us, trying to think what kind of plans the Luna has in store for us. Luna claps her hands together, “Alright ladies, first thing firsts. Does everyone has a dress?” Maybe half of the girls raised their hands, mine included, forgetting that Luna has chosen one for me. “Liz, put your hand down, you already have one remember?” I looked at her confused, until I remembered what she told me last night at dinnertime. I smiled at her and let my hand down. “Alright then, to those who don’t, you will all get your dresses today. The rest of the group, I need you to help set up for supper today. Meaning, coming up with a menu, get everything ready in the dinning room and helping the ladies in the kitchen under the supervision of Maggie. Understood?” “Yes Luna.” We all replied.

When they left, Maggie put us into two groups, one for organizing the dinner room, while the other half got to work with the menu and kitchen. Luckily, I was put in the kitchen along with my besties. We right away got to work. We were having so much fun in the kitchen, we didn’t realize that the time went by fast. Next thing you know, the food was done, and the place was set. Luna and the rest of the girls arrived and got ready for supper. We all went to get ready as well.

“This just looks wonderful!” Luna told us excitedly.  We smiled happily, glad that Luna liked it. “Come and sit-down ladies. Let us see what surprise they have for us.” The ladies from the kitchen brought out everything we cooked today; smashed potatoes with gravy, lasagna with three different meats and cheeses, garlic bread,  shredded chicken in spicy sauce, corn, steak and some steamed vegetables. We all dig in. After dinner we had dessert, chocolates mousse and some sugar cookies. We were all stuffed, we didn’t want to move.

“I know we are all tired, so I took the liberty to set up the living room for a movie night before we all go to sleep. Your sleeping bags are already there set up, just in case any one falls asleep during the movie.” Luna said. We all moved to the living room area, getting ready for bed. We were all so exhausted, that I don’t think we even finished the movie at all.
