Alexa's pov. I was so happy to be engaged to my boyfriend, Carlton Banks, a handsome movie star and celebrity. He was every lady's dream man, and the most eligible bachelor in Manhattan. I will be turning twenty-five in two days. Which is the age when I came into the trust willed to me by my father when I was born. Part of the will stated that I have to be married before my twenty-fifth birthday. So everything was in motion. There I sat and ordered a couple of drinks for myself. I was getting tipsy, but I didn't mind; I needed it right now. “You shouldn't be drinking so much." A man spoke to me; he was sitting two tables away. “Why can't everyone just leave me alone?" I grumbled. The man definitely did not hear me. If he did, he just chose to ignore me. “A beautiful woman like yourself should not be sitting alone in a bar." He said as he took a seat at my table. “Care to tell me what's going on.”. I rolled my eyes as I studied him. He was extremely handsome, with more attractive features than Carlton. I thought Carlton was the most handsome man in Manhattan, but I had a demigod sitting in front of me. Well, it wouldn't be a bad thing to put my heart out to a stranger, right? “I just caught my fiancé and my stepsister f*****g at my engagement party.” I dranked another glass, which about sums up the story for me. The man watched me keenly, his eyes giving my skin a tingling sensation. There was something about him that was mesmerising. “What do you want to do about it? You can't let them get away with it, you know.” Even his voice was deep and alluring. I just got my heart shattered by Carlton. And here I was swooning over a man I had just met. We were supposed to get married tomorrow, so I can inherit my trust when I turn twenty-five. I also need to get married before the end of today. So why don't we help each other out?”. He asked as he pushed the paper towards me. Our hands touched, and I felt a kind of zing, so I withdrew my hands from his. I was tipsy, but not too tipsy to understand what he was implying. I looked at the paper; it was a deed for a marriage contract. “Oliver Carrington”. I muttered slowly. Even the name sounded sexy. “Do you have a pen on you?”. I asked without thinking. Sure enough, he had one with him. I signed up in several places without going through it. “Now we are married," I announced. I raised my glass; he also did the same. We made a toast for ourselves. Just getting married. I stood up and stumbled. Only to be caught by my new husband, Oliver. His chest was broad and hard; he had a pleasant smell of jasmine and aftershave. “Why don't I get you home?" He steadied me. “No, I am not going home; we are going to consummate our marriage tonight.”. I saw his eyes widen as I said that. Maybe he didn't understand me, so I rephrased it. “We are going to f**k tonight.”
