Will's trial was finally going to start. Earlier in the day, the council member, Elder Humphries, had arrived and per the tradition, ranked pack members had a lengthy, formal dinner with him. During dinner, I was distracted. I just wanted this whole trial to be over so the pack could move on from this circus. While I originally thought including the council was the best course of action, I was now regretting my decision. I should have dispatched Will as soon as I was done interviewing the Omega's. He was dying either way. Plus, his parents had been trying to pressure the council to get me to release him.
