Chapter 10: Texas or Bust

I should have known it wouldn’t have been so easy. When I picked up my phone, I saw that I had four missed calls and 16 text messages. Of course you can guess exactly who they were from, Dylan was not happy that there were men at my house. Dylan: who was that? Dylan: are you dating someone now? Dylan: he doesn’t even look like your type. Dylan: seriously, are you going to just ignore me? Dylan: I’m sorry that I showed up the way that I did, but I really don’t think it’s fair to shut me out. Dylan: why would you be drinking with men? Dylan: I really feel like you’re doing this to punish me. Dylan: all I want is a simple answer. Dylan: how many guys are at your house right now? Dylan: I drove by the house and saw you and that guy sitting out back. Is he the new one that you’re with? Dylan: Why are you ignoring me? Dylan: if you give me another chance I’ll make you happy. Dylan: You know, lots of girls would jump at the chance to be with me. Dylan: You’re really starting to piss me off! Dylan: What gives you the right to ignore me Dylan: You’re doing this on purpose. Maybe I should just come on over. As I read the messages, I was becoming pissed off. And the better part of me knew it wasn’t worth the fight. But there was an even larger part of me that wanted to go to his house and beat the s**t out of him. But, knowing I had three bikers in my house, who obviously didn’t care much for Dylan, I thought it better just to reply through text. Charlie: Dylan, I’m tired of saying it. You and I are done. I tried to be your friend, but you cannot understand that. I have lost too much in my life, my peace will not be something else I lose. Dylan: I’m so sorry. It’s my jealousy. I love you. Charlie: I am sorry. I hope you grow as a person and make some woman very happy. I forgive you. But I cannot do this. We need to cut all contact. Dylan: Please don’t do this. Dylan: I want to spend my life with you. Charlie: All I can say is I wish you well. There’s no need to try and contact me because I will be blocking you after this. After that, I blocked him. There was no way he was going to stop at this alone, but at least I knew I could sleep tonight and not wake up to 50 messages. I tried to sleep, but I just couldn’t get myself to relax enough. Too much has happened, and has been happening. Sometimes, I just couldn’t get my mind to shut off. And tonight was one of those times. I got up to head downstairs when I heard some voices. I grabbed my piece from the nightstand as a just in case and tried to figure out where the voices were coming from. I finally realized it was coming from outside the house. I knew they had to be loud if I could hear them inside. I cracked my window and kept the lights off. That’s when I heard the voices more clearly. It was Reaper, Dom, Patch, and none other than Dylan. He looked like he was about to s**t his pants when I heard Reaper say, “she’s our sister now. And we will be damned if you bother her!” Patch chimed in and asked, “and what the f**k do you think you’re doing putting a tracker on her car? Who f*****g does that? I should beat the s**t out of you right now.” Dylan threw his hands up and told them he was sorry and that he didn’t want any trouble. But trouble was exactly what he was going to get. I didn’t think about what I was wearing, or that I had a piece in my hand, I just went downstairs in a rage when I heard he was trying to put a tracker on my car. This is probably how he knew were I was all those times. He’s worse than I thought! When I came out the door, Bo followed. He’s such a good dog, too bad human men can’t be that loyal. The minute my feed hit the grass, I was on a mission. In three long strides, I was standing behind my newfound brothers, “Excuse me gentlemen,” I think they knew I was pissed because they parted like the Res Sea. When they opened the line, everyone was looking at me, including Dylan. He opened his mouth to say something, but obviously thought better of it, maybe because of the rage in my eyes. “What. The. f**k. Do. You. Think. You’re. Doing? Do you really think any sane f*****g person would put a tracker on their ex’s car? That’s f*****g creeper status! I’m waiting Dylan! What f*****g lie do you have to tell me now?” His eyes bounced between me and the boys. But he wasn’t quite brave enough to speak. “Dylan Michael, you have about 2 f*****g seconds to tell me what the f**k is going through that pea brain of yours before I kick you ass myself!” Dylan looked back over at the guys and asked, “Can someone please ge the gun from her?” Dom laughed a deep chuckle and blurted out, “Yeah man, I’d be scared shitless if I were you too. But since she’s not mad at me, I’m kinda turned on.” I walked over to Dom, placed the gun in his hand, and said, “If you like to have working parts, and don’t want little Dommy to never stand at attention again, I suggest you shut the f**k up!” He gave me a sinister grin and said, “I’m even more turned on now. Who knew the little ginger would spit fire. And I promise you, there’s nothing little about Dommy, if you want to try him out.” Dylan scoffed and said, “good luck with the virgin.” But I could see the jealousy and anger in his eyes. I turned to him and reminded him to shut his mouth about my virginity and asked what his excuse for putting a tracker on my car was. He blankly stared for a bit, until Reaper threatened to show him why they call him Reaper. Dylan finally spoke up and said it was because he knew I planned to leave and he wanted to know where I was. But he lost access to me when he decided long ago to act like a dickhead. I asked how many were on my car over the last year and at first he didn’t want to answer. But Reaper clearing his throat reminded him of what he could do. Dylan answered quickly and said that there were several and that the batteries had died and he was attempting to change them out, but his plan was ruined when the boys woke up and caught him. I was beyond livid at this time, but all sorts of thoughts were going through my mind. He invaded my privacy, he made me feel like I was sometime to be played with when he wanted to, and most of all he showed me just how little he had cared. I was so mad tears started to fall. “I want you to understand something, you will never have access to me again! I have lost almost everything. And I told you tonight that I wasn’t going to lose my peace. But that’s what you’ve done. You’ve taken my peace and my sense of security. If I ever see you again, I’ll unleash the boys on you. Now leave, and don’t ever come back!” I turned to the boys, “boys we are leaving in the morning, Texas or bust.” And with that, I walked back in the house.
