I throw my phone on the bed in frustration. I have been trying to call Hayden all day, but he’s not answering.
KNOCK KNOCK
Nana pops her head around the door.
“It’s time sweetheart.” I feel sad for Nana. It’s her sister in law’s funeral today. Even though she hasn’t seen her in 20 years, she was really close with her. Apparently she would talk to her on the phone at least once a week. I didn’t even have the slightest clue. She’s been really quiet all day yesterday, and it breaks my heart to see her hurting and not being able to do anything about it.
