Mason pov The road to the compound is long and winding. Trees litter the side of the roads, creating a canopy above the car. I park the car 10 miles away, making Gabe and Harper walk the rest of the way. If they get one whiff of us, they will bolt and clear out. I pull my bag out of the trunk and pass the other bags to my two companions. Harper is a really sweet girl. She is determined and has a positive outlook on life and it’s refreshing to be around her. Gabe is the complete opposite. He’s quiet and reserved, not much of a talker, but Harper makes up for that. I don’t mind the quiet, though.
