HER HERO
“ Where are you taking me?” I yelled at the top of my voice, pulling his hands off the steering violently.
“Let me go you bastard” I spat, struggling with him, until he pulled the car over in a corner, the tires screeching.
He glared at me, I could see the fury in his eyes; I knew he was going to hurt me.
And in one swift movement, the force of his hands on my face sent me blurring out……..
I opened my eyes, my head was spinning and my vision blurry. I could see him sitting on the sofa before me.
Suddenly, there was a loud bang on the door. The mask man grabbed me, pulling me roughly as he made to escape.
A strong force pushed the door from behind and it fell to the ground.
I could not make out the face of who it was, but the familiar figure, tall and well built sent shivers down my spine.
He dashed towards the masked man, pulling him roughly as he rushed punches into his face.
“Callum!” it was Callum, my eyes gave up yet again as I fell hard to the ground unconscious.
“It's fine now, You are safe” Callum's reassuring voice was the first thing I heard when I regained consciousness
The nauseating smell of drugs gave my location away.
“ You are up,” Callum said. I had not noticed him by my side.
“ How did you find me?” my voice coarsed, as I looked towards him for answers.
“ Just relax, get better before you worry about that,” he said, gently patting my shoulder.
“This place brings bad memories” I blurted out, averting my gaze from his.
“ Do me a favor and get the doctor;” something about Callum had changed.
I saw it the last time we met, but now it was clearer, I could tell he had something he was dying to say.
“ Did he really mean the apology?” I said absent-mindedly, but I shrugged it off.
He probably has another trick up his sleeve.
The door knob turned, revealing Callum and the Doctor.
“Miss Sonya, you still have major head injuries” the doctor said, her eyes scanning the file she had in hand.
“ I really need to leave,” I said pleading.
“ I have to leave this city as soon as possible”. I didn't want anyone else getting hurt.
“ the nurses will fetch your things” the doc shut the door behind her as she left.
“Miss Sonya” Callum mimicked, he gave a smile looking at my face like he wanted me to smile back.
“ What do you want, Callum?” I asked as I got out of the the bed.
“ why are you in my space” the pitch of my voice rising as I talked.
“As much as I am thankful that you showed up today; I really wish you'd just say whatever is on your mind and leave”I dropped the bombshell, gasping for breath as I talked.
“Sonya, I really am sorry” he said softly, looking tenderly at my face.
I scoffed in disdain.
“ I really am; for all those times I treated you badly, for abandoning you in the hospital” he continued, drawing closer.
“ I suggest you leave” I blurted it, my voice stern as I reached for the door, gesturing for him to leave.
He took his jacket, glancing back at me briefly, I caught a glimpse of the dismay on his face before he finally dashedout.
My face flushed, what was Callum playing at, how could he act so sorry after all he put me through.
I shrugged and got my things in order, leaving the hospital.

“Em I would like a mini-band behind me when I perform” I said to the event organizers. Stacy had convinced me to stay for the event before we leave LA
“Alright Miss Sonya” the middle aged man responded, leaving me to my designer.
In no time all was set for the performance. I had just put on my wireless speakers when Stacy Came in.
“ Miss there is a lady outside who wants to meet with you” she let out
“who is she” I asked my brows in a knot
“ Em, she gave me her name “ Stacy placed her hands on the chin trying to recall
“Em Amanda, she said She was Amanda”she added.
I was skeptical about meeting this person, I had just escaped a near-death experience.
“Stacy, inform her to come some other time” I said, rearranging my microphone, when the said lady barged in.
“Why later? Don't we have some catching up to do” she said, a sly smirk plastered on her face.
Nothing prepared me for who I was faced with.
I paused in my tracks, and swallowed nervously. It was callum's wife
“Amanda…”
