KNOW YOUR PLACE “I see you have made a thing for yourself” Amanda chuckled. “You did great Sonya, I must commend” she continued, pacing from one point to another, giving me a look of disdain. “What do you want?” I glared at her. “Why are you here?” I continued, “ Stacy, call security,” I added. Stacy turned around and left. “Oh common Sonya” she pouted, I just wanted to say hi. “It's been a while, you know, since I stole Callum from you!” my eyes widened in shock. Amanda chuckled in amusement. She was obviously enjoying my plight. “I mean since I took him back from you” she gave a smile that faded immediately, “Amanda I don't want to do this with you” I stated, walking out the door. “Stay as far away from Callum as possible” she yelled from behind, making me stop in my tracks. “Oh so that's what this is about” I turned around. “ You have nothing to worry about, Callum is all yours” I added. I looked her in the face, wondering why she was so bent on staying married to Callum. “Oh yeah he is” she said, moving closer “ Now if I were you, I would pick up my pathetic career and leave town” she glared “ I took you out of the way before Sonya, I can always do it again. I just might suck the life out of you this time,” she added, her face directly before mine as she glared; and then She chuckled yet again like a maniac. “ Well bye..” she said, turning around. I watched her curly hair bounce along as she walked out My heart raced, I clenched my fist from the rush of adrenaline. What was that about? I thought to myself. Amanda’s visit had me thinking all through the event. Memories I had fought so hard to push behind me slowly started finding their way to the surface. She and Callum had made me lose my child. I thought of my baby, dabbing the tears on my cheek. I wondered if it would have been a boy or a girl; what she would have looked like. “ This is the last time you will make me cry, Callum,” I said through gritted teeth. I was livid, I had promised myself that I wasn't going to self-loath anymore and here I was, going down that lane yet again. “Ma'am it's time to leave” stacy’s voice brought me back to reality. I sighed, “time to leave crazy town” I exclaimed as I walked out, Stacy following closely behind. I knew I had to find my peace back. And this seemed like the first step towards that. I nodded, agreeing with my conflicting thoughts. “ I should really leave this city for good” “Sonya wait!” I heard from behind as I walked through the hangar to my flight. I looked backed to see Callum, panting like he had been running to catch up with me. I became livid. “Are you going to have me kidnapped again just so you can step in as the hero and save me!” I said through gritted teeth. “S-Sonya, No” he stuttered “ Enough!” I screamed at the top of my voice, interrupting him. “ what did you think was going to happen Callum?” I questioned, giving him a very deadly steer. “ I know you had me kidnapped, matter of fact I don't think you are capable of any good!” I watched the expression on his face move from apologetic to confused. “Is that really what you think?” he asked almost in a whisper. “ yes Callum, that is what I think;” “ And I will make sure you pay for making me go through all that torture” I spat. My legs moved as fast as I could as I walked away from him. I had Stacy report the kidnapping; I just knew Callum was up to something. “That bastard!” I cursed. Recalling how Amanda had threatened my life. It just had to be them. “We are going back to LA” I blurted out. My gaze meeting Stacy”s. “ B-but miss, it's not safe” she stuttered. “ I know who had me kidnapped, and I will make them pay” I had to go back to Las Vegas. Callum must be turned to the authorities. I put my luggage back in the trunk and looked out the window as the driver reversed back into Town. I was not going to give them the satisfaction of winning anymore. ********************** Callum's pov All I wanted was for her to see that I was really sorry. I had no idea why I was going after her in the first place. But piece by piece, it started to become clear. I wanted Sonya back in my life; I had fallen in love with her all those years we were married; it just had to take a divorce for me to realize. I chucked in my own mockery “ Now she hates me;” I sighed. Knock knock I raised up my head to see Stephen. He seemed bothered “ The police are here” he said before I could ask why he had that look on. “ The police?” I questioned My brows came together in a knot, then I realized what was going on. Apparently, she was not kidding when she claimed I had her kidnapped. “From your ex wife,” Stephen added. As if my problems with Sonya just kept increasing by the day. “ I know,Let them in,” I said confidently. This might just be my only way of proving that I did not have her kidnapped.
