The look of shock and amazement was on everyone’s faces as I was declared the winner, but no one was as shocked as me. I didn’t think I would win because she was stronger than me, but I couldn’t allow that to stop me from winning. My eyes then turned towards Mrs. Calhoun, who was looking at me with what I could only describe as awe, as her daughter hugged me and placed the coat back around me, reminding me that it was cold outside.
“Oh my God, I can’t believe you actually won. Where did you learn how to fight like that?” Lara asked, as she escorted me towards the house.
“I’m a black belt in karate and Krav Maga,” I explained.
“Really, that’s amazing, why didn’t you say anything?” she said in awe.
