“If you need anything just let me know,” Lara said, as she left my new room for the winter that was about the same size as my room back home. Being in that space made me miss home and my parents. The room was decorated with beautiful artwork that made me feel as if I had stepped into an alternate reality or another world. The trees in some of the pictures were so vivid and detail oriented that it felt as if I were running through that forest feeling the breeze on my skin while the beautiful golden sun kissed my skin, so I closed my eyes and allowed myself to get carried away with the painting.
