Episode 2-The agreement

Bella couldn’t sleep that night. Adrian’s words kept echoing in her head: “The contract will be ready tomorrow.”
The next morning, she found herself back in his office, her palms sweating. A thick file sat on the desk between them. Adrian’s cold gaze never left her face as he pushed it toward her.
“Read it,” he said firmly.
Bella opened the contract. Her hands trembled as she scanned the conditions:
She would live in his mansion as his wife.
She must attend all social events by his side.
She could not fall in love with anyone else.
Breaking the contract meant losing everything—including her family’s future.
Bella’s heart pounded. “This is… this is insane. You’re asking me to give up my freedom.”
Adrian leaned back in his chair, completely unfazed. “Freedom doesn’t pay debts, Miss Bella. Sign it, and your family will be safe. Refuse… and you know the consequences.”
Her throat tightened. Tears stung her eyes, but she knew he had trapped her completely. With trembling fingers, she picked up the pen.
“Fine,” she whispered, signing her name.
Adrian’s lips curved into the faintest smirk as he pulled the contract back. “Good girl. From today onward, you are Mrs. Adrian King. My wife in name, my property in fact.”
Bella’s breath caught in her chest. Was this the beginning of her new life—or the end of everything she had ever known?
