Chapter 3 Michelle's pov It was my Dad. In his hand was a folder, he gave me a strange look quite unreadable and then made his way across the large table over to Trevor dropping the folders. “I hope with this you can understand what really happened,” he said solemnly. For a brief naive second I thought that Dad had actually come to defend me, despite not being his real blood he had kept me all this time and raised me because he felt some kind of parental affection towards me. I couldn't have been more wrong. I watched Trevor's face harden with fury. “Guards!“ The volume of his voice made the entire room shake, and following his command two guards appeared in the meeting room. “Seize her, throw her into the dirtiest cell we have!“ The guards hesitated, only yesterday I had been the untouchable Luna, mother of the pack and today they were told to treat me like a common criminal. “Trevor–” “Don't you dare call my name you lying wench!“ He boomed as he marched over to me, the folder in hand and just two feet away from me he threw it at my face with the impact of a sledgehammer nearly knocking me off my balance. There was a small dribble of blood coming out of my left nostril and I looked down to see several pictures and letters, the pictures were of me and that man, very edited putting us in various intimate positions that made my stomach twist. “These are fake!“ I screamed in defense of my innocence, kneeling down to pick them up. “All of this has been fabricated to destroy me!“ I looked towards the man I had called my dad for years. “Where did you find these?“ My so-called Dad shook his head. “I thought I raised you better than this, but it's true what they say the apple doesn't fall far from the tree,” My chest clenched up. “Dad, this is going to ruin my life...tell him the truth!“ I yelled. “Guards, why is she still here?“ Trevor fumed, looking down at me. Nobody moved, his jaw tensed up then he grabbed me pulling me to the cell personally and tossing me into one that had cockroaches. “Someone bring me the keys!“ He yelled at the top of his lungs, more tears were beginning to run down in my eyes. “Don't you dare cry,” he said with a voice that cut cold like ice, “you should have seen this coming, hand of all people you had to do this with you made the choice of humiliating me further by involving yourself with a rogue!“ I was crying so hard now that I couldn't even speak to defend myself anymore. All my words got clogged up by the tears. But Trevor didn't stop, he called me every other name but the one my mother gave me. “If it wasn't for your father deciding to investigate personally and collect evidence I would have been left in the dark raising another man's bastard as my own,” His words came out to me like knives, slicing at my flesh. Worst of all was the realization that this was all it took to break us apart, forged love letters and pictures. He had already concluded in his heart that I was cheating before that evidence even came up. “Trevor, how are you going to sleep tonight knowing your mate and child will be here?“ I asked him while sniffing as he finally locked the cell. He looked at me like something that got stuck in the bottom of his shoe and without responding marched away repeating over and over that nobody was to release me from that cell or else they would be punished. I rubbed my belly, realizing that the only one I had in this world right now were my twins and no one else. In the following days it became more clear. Except for Madam Linda that took the risk of bringing me meals everyday, nobody else came to see me. Well, except her. “My dearest sister, why would you do something so foolish?“ Jenna said to me mockingly, her eyes filled with glee seeing me reduced to nothing. “You had everything you never deserved, in loving meat and a secure future as the most respected She Wolf in the pack and then you threw it all away!“ she shook her head. I kept my lips tightly shut, knowing whatever I said or did will be used against me somehow. She got upset because she wasn't getting a rise out of me with her provocative words so she topped it up a notch. “My brother-in-law is so happy that he has a supportive sister-in-law like me,” my ears immediately perked up against my control and I hated that she noticed it and kept going. “He's always drinking these days, asking where he went wrong. I tell him that he's perfect and he did nothing wrong, that some people just have it in their blood to be disloyal...“ she smiled, “... He really appreciates it, my presence... My caring advice,” Now I thought I was really going to be sick, so I got up walking slowly. “Stay away from him, Jenna.“ I warned her, “He's mine!“ I said the possessiveness of my mate bond made my wolf growl within. Jenna smiled then through her head back chuckling like a witch. “Well you should have thought of that before you cheated on him,” she looked straight at me, “like I said before you never even deserved him in the first place, and now that you are out of the picture he needs a real woman he–” That was all my patients could take. I reached between the bars and grabbed her neck until the guards had to come and push me off of her. The force of their push was so intense that I turned and fell right on my i. The last thing I saw was a pool of blood coming from between my legs before I passed out.
