Chapter Nineteen LILLIAN Lillian van Buren’s eyes traveled up the north façade of the square, blocky bar before her. At three stories tall, it would have otherwise been completely unremarkable if not for the line of five shiny motorbikes parked outside. She knew nothing about motorbikes, and so in her head she thought of them as the Harley-kind, rather than the racing-kind or moped-kind. It was funny, she thought, in a distant way.
