Dirk got together with Tripp and Fey at their apartment to explain what he wanted Tripp to do while Fey was on her ‘date’ with Carter Wright.
“It’s not that I don’t trust your abilities to take care of yourself,” Dirk said for openers when Fey looked as if she was going to get pissed. “I’m sure you can under normal conditions. But if this works the way we’re hoping, you’ll be alone in the house with Carter.”
“And so? Besides which, how can Tripp be any help when I’m inside and he’s…where? Sitting in a car watching the front windows?”
“No. He’ll be inside, too, if Carter takes you in to show you around.”
“Oh, he will. I’ll make sure of that.”
