Galvez proved to be an adept pupil. The house Dirk had chosen was isolated enough that they wouldn’t have to worry about nosy neighbors, expensive enough that he knew it would have a good alarm system, and empty except for a few pieces of furniture obviously put there by the Realtor to give it some ambiance.
Galvez had quickly gotten the hang of how to disarm the alarm box, using the proper tools. As Dirk had pointed out when Galvez asked, “You won’t always be able to turn off the electricity or cut a phone line to disable one.”
They were inside the house, with Maverick showing Galvez the tricks to finding cameras, and neutralizing them, when Dirk’s phone vibrated. He smiled when he saw a text from Fey that said, ‘In, out, all good. We’re coming by your place’.
