Chapter Two: Unexpected Encounters

Habang nag lalakad ako papuntang library para ibalik ang libro ba nirent ko, I can't stop thinking about him. There is something in him that made him unforgettable, I don't know what that is but I hate that feeling.
As usual when I enter the class I'm the early one again but the professor is already here.
"Oh hey Phoebe, I broke the old record, I'm four minutes early." saad ni Professor Fernandez habang naka tingin sa relo niya at tumawa. One of my favorite teacher.
"That will be last time, sir." I said and smirk before sitting at my seat.
Dahil nauna akong pumasok dito pinanood ko pumasok isa isa ang mga classmate ko sa subject na ito and I'm waiting for a specific person.
Malapit na mag time para mag start yung class but he didn't came to this subject and I assume he doesn't leave the rooftop, is he the one who's ditching the class? How dare he accuse me when he is the one who will do it anyway.
I rolled my eyes to the thought.
"Looks like Ms. Phoebe don't agree to our lesson for today. Care to share something in this class Ms. Phoebe?" He said and it made the whole class look at me.
Hindi niya ako pinapahiya or what, it's normal for us both na he will ask if I have another explanation for his lesson because he is old and sometimes he can't explain it well.
"No sir, I'm sorry I just had some a silly thoughts" I smiled awkwardly.
Thankfully, the bell rang and I immediately go to my next sub. Hopefully that boy leave my rooftop alone and he will go to this class.
I sat down and watch my classmates enter the class room as usual.
While looking at them I saw a familiar hair and I was not mistaken, it's the boy on my rooftop.
Our eyes met and I immediately look away, he looks so good when he is afar.
Nagsi-upuan na ang mga kaklase ko at umupo siya sa bakanteng upuan.
"Uhm, excuse me Sir but there is someone sitting there, you can sit beside Miss Zamora" Mrs. Johnson said to the rooftop guy.
Kinuha niya ang gamit niya at lumipat na sa tabing upuan ko.
"Hi Kiddo, nice seeing you again, I hope you didn't miss me earlier" he smirk then sat down.
"Okay everyone settle down, I have to announce that we have a new student, his name is Sage, Mr. Sage can you raise your hands so they will be able to see you" saad ng professor namin at tinaas naman niya ang kamay niya.
Habang nakataas ang kamay niya, he took that opportunity to wave at the girls in front and smile.
Just that small gesture the girl were already blushing and gossiping about how good he looks.
This is just his first day sitting beside me pero gusto ko na agad lumipat ng sitting arrangement, ang daming lingon nang lingon sa pwesto namin, he wasn't bothered at all but I am.
Di ako sanay sa mga atensyon na ganito pero siya parang normal lang ang lahat.
"Just don't mind them, wala kasing good looking sa university na 'to kaya tingin sila nang tingin dito" saad niya kahit hindi nakatingin sa akin.
"Tingin sila nang tingin kasi may dumagdag pang pangit dito" I answered back.
He chuckled a bit but he keep his cool.
Sa buong klaseng papasukan ko kaklase ko siya and unfortunately 'Z' ang initial ng last name ko and lagi akong walang katabi kaya siya ang naging katabi ko and kung minsan naman na siya ang bahala sa kung saan siya uupo ay ako ang tatabihan niya.
"By the way, nice to know you kiddo, I hope we get along" he smiled at me.
"I hope we not, hindi ba obvious na di ako pala kaibigan? And if I am, I will never be friends with you." His smile faded.
"Hindi, you seem cute and nice, bakit hindi ka pala kaibigan? You can make friends in just one 'hi'" daldal niya sa akin.
"Well yeah that's true, but I think it's better to be alone, I don't get sad and feel lonely easily naman and you too, you can make friend in just one 'hi'" Nginitian ko siya at nakinig na sa tinuturo.
Akala ko dadaldalin niya ako buong klase pero I am wrong, he listen too! Like I think of it as rare moment because walang may gustong makinig sa lesson ni Mrs. Cruz.
While thinking of it, tinawag siya ni Mrs. Cruz at pinatayo.
"Looks like you are listening, can you give me the definition of this?" She said and pointed the word written on the board.
He explained it in the smoothest way a boy could possibly do.
Pinalakpakan namin siya at nang makita niyang pumapalakpak din ako ay nginisian niya ako kaya umirap ako.
"Mukang kailangan lang pala na may tumabi kay Ms. Zamora para may isa pang makinig sa akin, I should have done that before" she smiled.
The class continued and hindi ako sanay na may iba pang kausap si maam aside from me, like if she have a question ako lagi ang tinatanong niya but this time she is including Sage to every explanation she do.
Wow, so this is what jealousy feels like.
"Don't be too jealous kid, hindi ko aagawin ang reputation mong 'teacher's pet'" he smirk.
"You can get it if you want, that is if you can do it" I smirk back.
"Oh try me kiddo, I can be everything I want" he smiled confidently.
"Oh really? Can you shut up and listen? I bet you can't" I said sarcastically.
"I can but I don't want to, I love to annoy you kiddo, you're so cute" tinitigan niya ako.
"Ew, I thought you don't want to break a kid's heart?"
"You are being assuming again kid, I don't want any kind of relationship with you. I just love to see your eyebrows frowning on me" he smirk.
Oh.
"Stop being assuming, it's bad for your health kid" he patted my head and stand up because the bell rang already.
