I sit up and watch my outstretched hand in front of me while I take deep breaths to calm my stampeding heart. I swipe a hand across my forehead as a soft knock sounds on the bedroom door.
"Orion, it's me"
I can't help the relief that washes over me with just the sound of her voice behind the door. The faint smell of a summer's rain wafts into the room as she pushes the door open slowly. A wave of honey meshed with her scent carries all the way to me as I feel my body relax totally.
