I slam my hand down hard on my desk when my scout gives me the latest update on what the members of the clan were up to. The most recent revelation about Orion's abilities sends a wave of jealousy through me. The runt didn't deserve such power. His mother was a fool to give him the amulet. Nevertheless, it will soon be mine. The boy's weak body cannot keep up with such power for long. He will eventually realize he was not meant for such greatness.
Savannah walks through the door to my office, a scowl present on her otherwise flawless face. She places both hands on her hips and glares at me from across my desk.
