Under the full moon, it shines on some creepy and ancient grave yard, cold air contained the atmosphere as a hand came out of a grave and then the moon shines brighter on a written epistolary which says on it“ Laura McKenzie” but beneath it is a faded year which cannot be seen clearly. Then a strange sound was heard in the background. ****. ****. **** Victor Talbot waved his parent good bye as he left home early for school and stood by the bus stop sign waiting for the school bus to stop by. Twenty seconds almost, he sighted the school bus from afar, But then the school bus made a turn into another street. “hey?, Doesn't the driver knows he is to pick me up here and not there?"He soliloquies asking himself. “honey," his mother who was standing near Mr Talbot, his father, called out to him. “whats wrong? ”, his mother who had noticed the school bus taking another route asked Victor. “Didn't you guys fill in the correct address?" He asked his parents. “uhm... Maybe the driver also wants to pick up another student who goes to the same school as you in that street ” his father, Mr Talbot replied. “makes sense” his mother added. Just as Mr Talbot has said, victor and Mrs Talbot sighted the school bus coming out of the street and heading to their junction and then finally it stopped. “Good morning, young lad, quickly hop in so as not to be late” the driver said gleefully. “you already made me,” victor said rudely in front of his parents to the driver as he climbed on the bus step and walked in the bus aisle then picked a seat near a young female of about his age, who puts on an eyeglass. “such a rude kid you have there couple”said the frowned driver to victor's parent and he drove off. “hope Victor behaves well at his new school” said Mrs Talbot who already felt like she's having headache. “and if he doesn't... That boy is going back to Transylvania ” Mr Talbot said and walked Mrs Talbot into the house. **** **** **** Victor felt as if he is feeling some heat in the school bus, but actually the school bus air conditioner is on, well at a normal degree just bringing some cool air to the students, but victor only felt that way because he is not comfortable with the other student sitting beside him. Claire, who happened to be the one sitting with victor noticed his reactions and decides to ask. “are you feeling alright?” she asked. Victor felt disgusted as if he had perceived some bad odors, coming out of Claire's mouth which really embarrassed her. “you don't need to ask” he spat at her face. Claire adjusted her glasses and held tight to her school books, immediately victor picked his back pack and stood up from the seat immediately the school bus parked by the parking lot in their school compound. Immediately after victor evicted from the school bus, the other students who had noticed what transpired between victor and Claire raised a gossip murmuring. “he is really rude” some said. “yeah, and proud too” some supported. “he felt too high cos he thinks he is cute” one said. “he is actually ” and that ended the murmuring as they all stepped out of the school bus in twos and trios, but then claire made sure she left the school bus lastly, as she was about to step out, The school bus driver pulled her hands backwards. “you are going to do just fine” he assured her. She felt calm as he had encouraged her. Although it her first day at Edinburgh high school just like victor she is also a new student. The driver seems to be a nice man, “Thank you ” she said gratefully, then the driver smiled at Claire who smiled back at him and also waved him a good bye as she stepped out of the school bus. Victor took in a deep breath of fresh air as he stepped into the school hall, immediately he went straight to the principal office to his surprise he met the same unknown student who sat by him in the school bus, he later got to know that she is also a new student just as he is. "Welcome victor and Claire to Edinburgh high school" Mr Williams who happens to be their principal welcomed them. "Oh, so her name is Claire". Victor thought within him as he examined her from head to toe. Claire seems to feel like she is only in the room with the principal, clearly she's also ignoring victor. “so, I would like to present you two your locker keys” Mr Williams said as he handed them over. There was a loud bang at Mr Williams door followed by a loud grumpy voice, Already Mr Williams already recognized that voice, it's the voice of the great bully of Edinburgh, whose name is Edward, a basketball Captain team, he is mostly feared by students and even some teachers secretly fear him because of his height and muscles and how rough he is. “come in” Mr Williams commanded. “you don't need to tell me that, I can just break down the door” Edward threw back at Mr Williams. And also noticed the sight of the two new students who just couldn't get off their gaze at him. “hey, what are you pigs staring at?” he asked twisting his neck. Claire got startled with the way he spoke out, victor didn't really moved an inch, he is not scared of him he had thought. “gentle biggie, you have come here to clear off your detention right?” the principal said trying to interfere and not make Edward scare the two new students. Biggie is the nick name given to Edward by the students and teachers of Edinburgh even the principal finds it interesting to call him that name, because it perfectly suits him well. Edward only grunted and fold his hands to a punch and hits the principal table, “hope you guys knows the way to class, cos you are going to miss first period of your lesson ” He yelled at them, immediately Claire trembled out of the principal office, victor just rolled his eyeballs to Edward who felt like rushing him thirty punches. And then he went out of the principal's office. "Hope today goes great for me", Claire prayed to herself as she grabbed a seat at the back of the class since the rest If the seat is mostly occupied by the students.
