“I heard a rumor that Trent MacKellar is moving back into the MacKellar house,” Laura said once we were all eating out cake.
Trinity brought a lemon cake with a boozy rum glaze that was delicious, and much more interesting to me than another rumor about the MacKellars.
“They always say that,” Karissa told her. “For years, there have been rumors about someone moving in. I’ve heard everything from Trent MacKellar was coming home to Trent had a wife and a bunch of kids and was going to raise them here or Trent’s wife died and he was bringing his kids. I even heard they sold it once. And that Trent lost the house in a card game. None of it is true.”
“Really?” Laura asked, sounding disappointed. She wrinkled her nose and shook her blonde curls back from her face.
Karissa nodded.
