Pacing back and forth in short spans, I cupped an elbow with one hand while tapping my lips with the other as I scoured my mind for the best possible place Matthew might have gone to. But the more I tried to search deeper into my mind the more it felt like I was about to lose my sanity. I mean, he wasn't the type that would just bail on me like that.
