Ria's POV.
Through the full glass windows with parted curtains, the sun peered into the room, sprinkling its rays all over my face and causing my retinas to burn. I fluttered my eyes open and then lifted a hand to shield my eyes from the sunlight then I tossed myself to the other side of the bed with intentions of getting some more sleep but as I did, I felt something off.
Patting the bed with a hand, I noticed that it was unusually soft, and the scent was not like any that I'd perceived before. At the realization of this, my heart seemed to turn over and at once, I brought back to mind the moment I had that one-night stand with the stranger who disappeared in the morning. Hoping that I'd not repeated the same mistake, I blinked my eyes awake and as I did, I scanned the whole area.
