Violet's POV:
“Miss George, here is everything you need to know about Alpha Lucian,” Becky's voice echoed, snapping me out of my thoughts.
I quickly took the tablet from her hand, scrolling through the details I have been waiting for the past one and half hours, which seemed like years to me.
With Joan in the hospital, my only worry is finding this said Alpha Lucian.
I let go of the tablet after going through everything I needed to know about Alpha Lucian. Even though his face felt familiar, I couldn't care less.
I took the car key…
“Miss George, I would drive,” Becky took the car key from me before I could stop her. “I know the Bloodcrest pack is like the back of my palm. I used to work for the previous Alpha's brother.”
I followed her out to the parking lot. As if she knew how desperate I was, she started the car, accelerating at the highest speed.
My gaze was glued to both my phone screen and wristwatch, wishing I could just pause time.
The doctor said I only have 48 hours and about two hours is gone.
“Miss George, we're at their pack’s house,” Becky's voice echoed after an hour's ride.
After I got out of the car, I rushed into the pack house which was magnificent, screaming luxury. The mansion was far more luxurious than even the most popular packs’ Alpha houses.
“Who are you and what are you doing here?” A young man dressed in black suit, obviously a wolfguard, asked sharply before I could enter the main building.
“I am here to see Alpha Lucian,” I replied before Becky could speak out.
Right now, all I want is to see Alpha Lucian!
“Do you have an appointment with him?”
I tightened my grip around my phone at his question. “No… but—”
“I am sorry, I can't let you in here. Meet the pack's Beta and—”
“Violet George?” A man dressed in a similar suit with only a few differences, called out my name like he knew me from somewhere.
“You are Alpha Lucian, right?” I asked him, my gaze fixed on him. I don't have time to waste.
Every second mattered to me!
“No—”
“Then where is Alpha Lucian? Please I desperately need to see him,” I interrupted the man.
“This way, Miss Violet George,” he said before leading the way.
I turned to face Becky. “Wait here.”
I followed the man, my gaze darting around each room I walked past until we got to a room with bookshelves mounted in every corner.
“Alpha Lucian, here is Violet. Miss Violet George who you had been looking for the past five years,” the man's words made me want to burst into laughter but this isn't time for me to laugh.
My pup is lying there, his life in danger… time tickling like my greatest enemy.
“Excuse us,” a deep masculine voice echoed, his gaze fixed on the book he was reading.
A sharp sound of inhale broke the sudden silence between us after the man who walked me inside left. “Where have you been all these years?”
His question hit me before I could talk about the reason I was here.
I ignored his question before closing the gaps between us. “I heard you are Alpha Lucian, the Alpha with a rare blood type,” I said in a hurry like those words had been rehearsed. “I want you to save my son… please…”
“You are married?”
His question echoed sharply, his gaze raised to look at me. Those cold emerald eyes were staring at me like I did something wrong. Something forbidden.
“No… no…“ I stammered even though there wasn't a reason to. “Please help me. All I need is for you to donate your blood to my pup.”
Even though his strolling face was intimidating, I decided not to be affected.
Maybe he is somehow related to Ethan but do I care? As much as it wasn't Ethan, I don't care the resemblance he has with my pups, all I want is for Bastian to be saved!
“I—”
“I would do anything you want of me… please…” I held back the tears welled up in my eyes at the thought of what might be happening to Bastian.
I just want to save my pup…
“Anything, you say?” He asked, something indescribable shifted in his eyes.
I nodded, staring at his emerald eyes which were also doing the same to me.
“I could have helped you even when I don't help—”
“Please, I would do anything, I swear to the moon goddess. Your rare blood type is all I need, please,” I begged, desperation seeping through every word. “I am a jeweler. A top one at that.”
Without giving him the chance to speak, I went on. “I am good with business ideas and I have money. I can offer you anything, please.”
“I want you to be my Luna, Violet,” my body froze the moment I heard him say those words.
No… I must've misheard him!
“I am in need of a Luna to present to my pack council and you need to save your son,” his words were like needles prickling deep into my skin. Not after what Ethan did to me, I don't want to have anything to do with any man.
Having my kids, staff and Joan is enough for me.
“What do you think?”
His question came out cold, leaving me no chance to think. Instead all that was in my mind and head was calculation.
Five hours is already out of the time…
“If—”
“I would become your Luna,” the words came out more freely than I intended.
“Then we have a deal.”
I quickly unlocked my phone and texted Joan the moment I heard those words which sounded like rekindled hope.
‘Tell the doctor to start preparation for the transfusion. Alpha Lucian agreed to donate his blood to Bastian.’
