There I was trying to find where I kept my other shoe, it was my first day in school as a senior. Finally, i'm done with middle school, I said feeling very happy and overwhelmed at the sametime. Joy! Joy! Joy! My elder sister called out my name Yes" I replied Get ready quickly, or we're gonna be late. I'm done already I replied" I wouldn't want to be late and make a bad impression on my first day in senior year, and most importantly get whooped on the first day of school. And yes, as Nigerian students we get reprimanded whenever we get late to school, it can be excused for a while but if persistent we would have to face the music and practically dance to the tunes. I know it was rude of me not to have introduced myself properly, I apologize ". Let me quickly introduce myself. My name is joy, i'm from oyo state Nigeria, I come from an average family of four, two girls and a boy, but we reside here in Lagos. I attend silver high school, which isn't that distant from where I reside. I think this would do for my introduction, I need to board a tricycle(keke), that's what it's called here in Nigeria 🇳🇬. We boarded the tricycle, and off we go to school. I'm so excited to meet my friends, mercy and Christabel, we've been friends since middle school, we're like the inseparable trios. Mercy is a light skin beauty, slim and tall, while Christabel is what we call here in Nigeria "black beauty' she's short, dark skin and plump, she's the outgoing type, full of energy and confidence maybe overconfident at times, and lastly she's brilliant, i mean we all are book smart but not to brag or anything I was the leading champion in my class in middleschool. Christabel was before I came to dethrone her, she obviously didn't take it well but that's a story for another day. My other friend mercy is also outgoing but not as much as Christabel, she was friendly, cheerful and playful, she was a complete vibe so to say. And there I was making my way to my new class, feeling all excited and anxious at the same time, I could see mercy waving at me smiling and mouthing a hi. Hi 👋 I waved back and quickly went to meet her. Where is Christabel ? i asked; She's yet to come mercy replied " Oh I see, okay. I quickly went to pick out a seat close to the back and dropped my bag. Is that where you're seating? Mercy asked. Yes" I said Ok then , i'm gonna sit beside you. Okay no problem, I got you. She then moved to where I am and sat beside me, then she whispered to me it seems we have new students coming in. Yes I noticed, but before I could utter another word I saw the most beautiful creature I have ever seen in my entire life walking towards me.
