I typed a text to Sara

" I want to tell you something. Can we meet ? It's really urgent. Please don't ignore this text. I need to tell you something."

But couldn't press the send button. It was difficult for me to even resist myself from sending her the flowers. I don't know when and why I turned so soft towards her. I was not the same person which everyone knew about out there. I can't help but think about Sara. I hope she knows that it was me who send her the roses and not Darrell. My phone rang.

" Hello ?"

" Hey, Ethan. Are you free right now ?"

" Yeah. Why ? What happened, Darrell ?"

" Nothing much. I'll tell you once we meet. I'll pick you up from your place."

" I'm not home right now. Pick me from the cemetery."

" Alright."

Once he picked me up, we went to his studio. He made some coffee and we talked over it.

" What is it ? You seems sad." I asked.

" I am sad." He replied in low voice.

" Why ? Did Sara rejected the flowers ?"

" No. She didn't."

" Then ? What is it ?" I asked sipping my coffee.

" Kai is dating Sara." He replied.

" What ? He is dating Sara ?"

" Hmm. Actually, Sara hugged me today like casually and that's when Kai came up to me and told me that they are dating. They haven't made it official yet. So nobody knows about it." He sighed.

" He said that and you believed him ? "

" What do you mean ? " He asked.

" You believed him ? Darrell, did Sara told you that she is dating him ?"

" Nope. But Kai told me that they are dating." He replied.

" Okay. Was Sara around at that time when he was telling you about this ?" I asked.

" Yes. She was standing next to him."

" Okay. What were her exact respone when he said they were dating ? Like did she said happily ' Yes. We are dating.' Or Did she just stayed quiet ?" I asked.

" She never said that they were dating. She was just standing there quietly and then Kai took her away." He replied.

" So there you go. They are not dating. Until unless a girl says she is dating. You should not make assumptions."

" But maybe Sara was too shy to tell me about their relationship." He said.

" Do you think Sara is the shy kind of girl ? You see her everyday, right ? Does she look like those girls who are shy ?"

" Nope. I think she is pretty extrovert. She got lot of friends and she ain't afraid of anything either. So---"

" So she is not dating him." I cut him off.

" But I guess...I'll just..... I'll just leave her with Kai. You told me that Sara never spoke about dating Kai but you see.... she wasn't even denying it. If she..... wasn't in a relationship with him then don't you think she should've denied the fact that she was dating him ?" He said

That made me wonder too. She should've denied the fact that she was in relationship with Kai but she didn't.

" Forget about it. I guess I can't love Sara as much as Kai does. It shows in his eyes that he loves her so much. I guess my love for Sara was just an infatuation." Darrell said trying to light up the moment.

" Yeah. Besides, you have fallen in love so many times. Who was before Sara ?" I asked trying to change the serious atmosphere.

" I don't think we can call that falling in love. They are just my crushes. And I guess Sara was one of them. Before Sara, it was Kelly." He replied laughing it off.

" And before that ?" I asked.

" It was Lexi. I met her in a party that I attended with my family. It was her cousin's success party."

" Why do you have crushes on the girls who are in cabinet ? There are other girls too." I joked.

" How would I know that they would join a cabinet ? " He replied and we send the night talking about things which were less important to us.

SARA

To be honest, I felt lonely, I mean really lonely...... suddenly, my phone received a text. I quickly went to open it. It was Kai's text.

" Meet me at the school entrance now or else I am coming to your house now. "

What in the world does he has to do now in front of the school entrance ? Wait ! He knows that I stay here ? But I never told him and nobody else knows my address until unless........ IT'S JASON !!! I told Giya that I am going out to meet Jason and stepped out of the house. I took a cab to school and the school was looking like a dark castle in the darkness. I was walking towards the entrance when someone pulled me backwards. " You came ", I recognized the voice to be Kai's.

" I didn't expected you to come." He said taking his hood down.

" What is it ?" I asked.

" Wait ! We have to go inside the school. And we cannot go through the main entrance."

" Why we have to go inside ?" I asked.

" You'll know......once we go inside." He said dragging me away from the entrance.

He took me behind the school and said " Climb the wall."

" What ? You are crazy. Why should I climb the wall ? And what if .... what if someone sees me ? I'm the Headgirl, I cannot break inside my school like that."

He sighed and took off his jacket and gave it to me. " Here, wear it and climb." I wore his jacket and kept my hoodie in case if someone caught me. He overlapped his hands over each other so that I can step on it and climb the wall. I climbed the wall and jumped inside my school. A few seconds later, he too jumped inside.

" Now what ? " I asked.

" Okay. Let me take you there." He said holding my hand. We sneaked through the buliding and went towards our canteen.

I stopped him and asked " Wait ! Aren't there cameras here ? We've been recorded."

" Who said we've been recorded ? The watchman of our school is sleeping. I checked each and everything before taking this risk. I got to protect you and your post too. " He said confidently with a smile.

" Okay." I replied shifting my eyes away from him.

We continued sneaking until we came upon a spot where a big heart was made of rose petals.

" What is this ? " I asked in amazement.

" This is the place I saw you for the first time. You were standing there with your back towards me." He pointed in front and continued.

" I thought since I saw you here first then we should celebrate our first rose day here."

I got no words to even reply to him.....

" You....you..... don't have to.....do it." I replied finally looking for words.

" Sara ..." he turned towards me and said " I know I have been a little impatient with you for some time now. I want to apologize for that but ...... forget it ! Since both of us are here. We should celebrate the rose day." He smiled.

" HEY ! WHO ARE YOU ? HOW DID YOU CAME INSIDE ?" A husk voice came from behind. I looked at Kai and he pulled my hoodie lightly so that the face which was already hidden by it would not be seen by the person who caugt us. He held my hand firmly. We started running away from him.

I asked as we ran for our lives " What should we do now ?"

" Don't worry. He didn't saw us. If he did then he would have recognized us. First, we hide somewhere then we will get out from here. Okay ?" He asked.

" Okay." I agreed. We ran as fast as we can..... but the person who was chasing us whom we predicted to be our watchman was pacing up to our speed. We made a sudden turn which gave us few seconds to trick the person. We ran as fast as we can as we came across a crossroad in our path. We got seperated. I went to the left and he went to the right. The person was chasing me and i hid behind a wall which was next to trees just in time. I can hear sounds of the dry leaves getting crushed under someone's feet. The sound approached me slowly. I closed my eyes praying not to get caught.

KAI

As we got to know that someone was chasing us. We got separated so we can buy the other person some time. I expected our watchman to chase me but he went behind Sara. I ran to another shortcut leading to the way Sara has ran. I saw her hide behind the wall which was surrounded by trees. I saw the watchman approaching too. I hid myself behind a bush and saw that the watchman was approaching towards Sara. I got to create a distraction to save Sara. Otherwise, her post and her reputation will go downslide because of me. I pick up a stone and threw it to my right. The stone hit the bushes and the watchman was distracted. He slowly approached in my direction and I slowly rose up and walked up in Sara's direction without making any sound. I went to the wall and put my hand on her shoulder. She jumped up in fear and was about to scream. I shut her mouth with my hand. She looked at me with wide open eyes....breathing heavily. I heard the sound of footsteps approaching. There was no way, we can move along the wall to the other side because there was a fence and we cannot go out because the footsteps were coming from that direction. I looked at Sara and she has already closed her eyes due to fear of been caught. I hugged her to hide her in my embrace.

JASON

Today is Rose Day and I didn't give a rose to Giya. I had planned I'll take her out and roam around like couples do but that Eddie destroyed my whole plan. Plus , he shows me attitude when I asked him about the rose.

FLASHBACK

I walked out of the school and waited for Eddie to show up after the school got over.

I saw him coming with his bunch of friends. He saw me but completely ignored me. I called him out to stop him.

" Eddie !"

He turned and came to me.

" What is it ?" He asked.

" Did you gave a rose to Giya ?" I asked.

" I didn't. I kept it in her locker."

" Who told you to give her a rose ?" I asked.

" Why ? Did I foil your plan ? Look, Jason ! I know you like Giya too."

" How did you know ?"

" Isn't it obvious since the time we met each other ? Jason, I don't mind that I have a competitor like you......and I think you shouldn't mind it either. Because after all, it's Giya who has to make a decision right ? And I gave her a rose to show my liking towards her. See ? I'm giving you chances to show your liking towards her then don't expect me to back off now." He replied as he walked away.

I don't need anybody's chances to show my liking towards Giya !!!!! I'll show her my love whenever I wanted to show her. But isn't Eddie way ahead of me in this race ? He gave her chocolates and a letter to congratulate her but i didn't give her anything. He gave her a rose too..... i didn't even wished her yet.

" AAAARRRRHHHHHH !!!!" I screamed pulling my hair as I fell down on my bed.

" I cannot let him win !!! Giya is mine !!! Giya is mine and only mine !!! So what if he gave her rose ? I'll give her a whole bouquet and chocolates too. And also a written letter. Then let me see who wins her heart ?" I said to myself.

" Mrs. Lancaster ! Mrs. Lancaster !" I called out. Our housekeeper, Mrs. Lancaster came in.

" Yes, sir. What is it ?" She asked.

" I need you to book a bouquet of roses. It should be fresh and beautiful."

" What do you need it for ? So I can tell the shopkeeper to decorate it for you accordingly."

" Um....yeah...uh.....I want it because....I'm going over to Sara's place. I need to give her the roses. I mean I have to give her mother a bouquet of roses."

" Okay, sir. I'll order it right away." She said.

I sat down on my study table to write a letter. I wrote ' Dear Giya......' um.... what should I write ???

Dear Giya, since the time I saw you. I.... I.....

Nah !!!!! This won't work !!!! I tore the paper and threw it away. I took a new paper and wrote again.

Dear Giya, I'm in love with you since childhood.

Nah !!!! I can't be too direct. I should be a little gentle and slowly tell her about my feelings. Yeah ! I should do that.... Again I tore that paper and took a new paper. After sometime, there was a knock on door.

" Sir, your bouquet of roses has been delivered." Said Mrs. Lancaster.

" Uh, okay. Thank you, Mrs. Lancaster." I replied humbly then going back to writing the letter.

" Um....sir. Do you want me to clean your room after you leave ?" She asked.

" Huh ?" I questioned. I looked up from the paper to find my room drowned in papers. I sighed. I cannot write her a letter. I'll just take a card of Rose day. I should hurry before her mom comes home. I hurriedly dressed up and got into my car with the bouquet.......but in the middle of the way I remembered that I didn't had a card. I told my driver to stop the car near a shop to look for a card. I made a dash inside and came out in few seconds picking up any random card that I can find in the display. When I reached Giya's house. It was already late .....like it was the time her mom usually comes home or is already home. I sneaked to the back of the house and knocked on Giya's window. She heard it and came to open the window sill.

" What are you doing here ?" She asked.

" Good thing ! Your room is not upstairs otherwise I have to climb up there." I replied as I stepped inside her room.

" I asked you what are you doing ? And weren't you suppose to meet Sara ?"

" When ? We didn't planned to meet yet. Why ?"

" Oh ! Nothing ! "

" Here !" I said giving her my card which I picked on my way here.

" Card ? For what ?" She asked.

" It's Rose Day so....I thought of giving you a card." I replied shyly.

" That's really thoughtful of you.....but not the card. " She said as she showed me the card. It was a birthday card.....

" Dammit !!!" I said under my breath.

" I see you really pick cards with care." She teased.

" Uh....I brought you a bouquet too...." I said.

I leaned outside the window and picked up my bouquet and gave it to her.

" Hmmm....they seems fresh." She replied as she sniffed the flowers.

" I brought you fresh flowers....on Rose day."

" So...why exactly you are here ?" She asked.

" I.....I.....wanted to spend this day.....with you. I wanted to take you out and have fun with you......but that Eddie ....he ruined everything." I replied.

" So you are giving all this to prove that you are better than Eddie ?"

" Yes ! I mean .....No.....I mean..." I hesitated.

" Eddie gave me chocolates too." She said.

I searched through my pockets and found a chocolate. I gave it to her.

" Eddie gave me chocolate balls."

I thought of saying that ' I'll give her chocolate balls too ' but then I thought it was no use of doing it since I already ruined it....I ruined the day for Giya.

" Do you like me ?" She asked. I looked at her astonished.

" What are you looking at ? Tell me ? Do you like me ?" She asked boldly. I was so badly shaken that I couldn't even say ' Yes ' to her.

" Okay. So that's a no....right ?" She asked.

" What ? No ! I mean Yes .....No wait !!! " I paused for few seconds before continuing my sentence " I...I like you."

She gave me a smile and asked " So why don't we celebrate our first day from tomorrow ?"

I looked at her smiling.....thinking I was brave enough to say that I liked her.

" Yeah.....so....tomorrow is our first day of dating." I asked and she nodded.

" Giya ... I'm sorry for ....for not telling you so soon."

" Soon ??? It's been ages , Jason. I waited for you to come and confess to me but you never came and honestly I don't want to wait any longer for your confession. So I asked you."

SARA

Well , I thought we were done for now.....my post and my reputation along with my grades will go down in few seconds when those approaching footsteps will finally find our hideout. I closed my eyes and could hear Kai's heartbeat. He was holding me close.... but suddenly we heard a voice.

" Hey, what are you doing here ? I usually find you sleeping in your cabin. Today you weren't there so I came here to look for you."

" I saw two people inside the school and I chased them but ...."

" It might be your dream. Now, go home and sleep. You need rest. "

" I sure heard someone and I was chasing them as well."

" I see.....it might be your dream. Nobody's around at this hour. You go home and rest since your work shift is over now. I'll check if somebody was around. Alright ?"

" Alright."

We heard sounds of footsteps fading away. It was quiet now.....No sound , nothing.....only the stillness of the night. We waited there for like five minutes. Finally, I thought that it was safe to move away from that place.

" I think we are safe now." I said opening my eyes and looking towards the path.

" Hmm" He replied as I looked at him. His eyes met my eyes. I looked in his eyes. We stood there like that staring at each other. It was difficult to keep my eyes off from meeting his. I, somehow broke the chain and said " I think we should go."

I moved away from him but he caught my elbow and pinned me against the wall. I looled at him.

" What?" I asked trying to sound bold and not shaken.

He leaned in to kiss me. I closed my eyes tightly shut. I mean, I could've stop him but I don't want stop him for some reason. I could feel his breath on my face. My heart started racing badly. I took a breath to calm myself down. He holded my face in his hand. A chill ran down in my whole body. I felt his soft lips touching my forehead. He pulled back after few seconds.

" I won't kiss you until you tell me that you love me." He said quietly keeping his face inches away from me as I opened my eys to look at him. I turned my head in the opposite direction.

" Okay. Let's leave now." He smirked.

The way we get inside the school....we took the same way to get out. We walked quietly without saying anything.

GIYA

To be honest, I am not the kind of girl who confess to a guy. I mean being bold in front of him is not my thing. But after, I received a rose from Eddie.....

"Giya !!!!" A voice called me.

I turned back and found Eddie approaching me.

" Giya !!! I was looking for you......um....today is Rose day. So you might have found a rose in the locker. It was me who kept it there. Actually, I'm.......I'm -----" He hesitated.

" You .....what ? " I asked.

" Okay......I won't keep it away from you. Giya, I like you. I like you since the time I saw you coming inside the class. I thought you were a CEO's daughter since you looked so fine on that today. But .......status, I mean the social status really doesn't matter when you like someone right ? And to be honest, I really don't believe in dividing the the students by their status. "

I was confused about the things he was telling me. But I don't think I have a answer for his confession........ I really didn't have an answer. So I stayed quiet.

" Uh.....I mean I went directly off the topic. I just wanted to ask if you are willing to be my girlfriend ?" He asked .

I still stayed quiet. I don't want to give him an answer.

" Did I offend you in someway ?" He asked being worried.

" Uhm.......I'm not sure if I feel the same way about you, Eddie. I just take you as a friend and nothing more." I said boldly bit trying to be soft at the same time.

He stared at me for few seconds in silence but then nodded his head and finally spoke breaking his silence.

" Oh......um.....I think you are saying this because you know that Jason likes you. I know you need time to choose between both of us. Take your time. I won't force you to like me."

He said it with confidence and left me without any choice but to confront Jason on my own.
