Kelvin noted the small strain in her voice. It must be a very personal matter but he could not brush off the worry rising up inside him. He paused.
“No problem, Treasure. You can leave work early. But,” he quickly added before she stood up. “I would like to go with you.”
Treasure looked at him wide-eyed. “What?”
“I know wherever you are going to is not my business. I totally agree, but as your friend, I want to share in whatever that has to do with you. I find myself praying for you every day. It’s a new habit. And I have noticed this change in you that just makes me so happy. It’s not just your new niceness, it’s more like a beautiful aura around you and I want to be part of that,” he said, trying not to let the look on her face discourage him.
